45 RepliesEdited by Yosemite Sam: 8/5/2020 11:49:04 PMNot while the WoW guy is the director and just think, you have 3 more years of him and all his talent that has saved this game. Edit: I read over some of the replies on here and I can't believe how ignorant some of you actually are. What is this BS "you haven't played long enough". Are you guys for real? 😂 Here is a fun fact, it only takes one bite of whatever food to figure out if you like it or not and that is within 3 seconds. But somehow "player needs to play 1000's of hours" to know anything about the game 🤦♂️

Get a new design philosophy.
It’s not a hobby it’s a full time job with mandatory overtime that pays you in lottery tickets.
-
5 RepliesEdited by LiftAnEye: 2/2/2021 7:03:26 AMStop playing this game. Stop giving Bungie your money. Play something else or, maybe find something far more constructive to do that has to do with investing in yourself.

Get a new design philosophy.
Luke Smith strikes me as someone who has never experienced a Normal Life via a Job Full Time Job, a Family/Friend Social Life, etc. so Luke Smith has the mentality that all people do is play video games and puts responsibilities last, a social life last, a Job last etc. I work two Jobs, I work around my House (so technically 3 Jobs) I have a Social Life with my Family, Friends and Girlfriend, I do activities outside to get some UV Light that kills viruses etc. so I don’t have time to put in 6 hours a day into Destiny, I’d be lucky to get 1 hour in a week. Luke Smith never puts himself in the shoes of people like me with a lot going on in his life so he only thinks as a Freeloading, Basement Dwelling Welfare Rat, No Life Scarab Lord so everyone else to him are irrelevant which is why I quit Destiny. I can’t nor do I have the time to no life this Game so I moved to Games that I can drop at anytime and at anytime I can pick it back up again and pick up right where I left off when I have the time to play. Luke Smith Haters the Working Class Casuals and only wants Freeloading, Basement Dwelling No Lives to play Destiny. Everyone else be damned.

2 RepliesEdited by Palamedes: 8/7/2020 12:44:34 PMthere is an option in this game, only found by people that are strong and willing to make a difference. UNINSTALL!! Works magic. No more hackers, no more unbalanced pvp, no more boring daily bounties, and no more sunsetting. Really, your life will become so much better. Try it.

You choose to boot the game.

4 RepliesCareful. It’s you people who got us vanilla D2.

Smart. I see what you're up to. Trying to trick Bungie into nerfing your job. ;)

24 RepliesYou barely play... pretty shit at your second job.

10 RepliesBuild making sucks and is extremely convoluted and time consuming collecting high stat armor with the right rolls, prisms, and golf balls. You spend time making a build for an activity, like 1080 Nightfall, but that build isn’t optimal for a different activity like dungeons. So you need different armor and exotics, which means you need to grind the same nightfall for dozens of hours for more mats. Some armor you might reuse and you will need to swap mods for different activity and keep track of which ones went where for what build. The whole time your inventory piles up with crap and will need to manage that with DIM’s loadout manager so you don’t dismantle something that might increase a stat tier because even 1 point can make difference because tiers go by multiples of ten which means any number from 1 - 100 that ends in 1 - 9 is completely useless. It’s a -blam!-ing mess. An absolute -blam!-ing mess.

I play pretty casually and I get enough done. It's about playing smarter.

5 RepliesEdited by Seraph: 8/6/2020 10:41:56 PMGot to love the irony. Originally, Destiny 2 was built around the philosophy that Destiny shouldn’t be a second job, and that we ( the Destiny playerbase ) should be allowed to play other games. And then everyone ( myself included, albeit to a lesser degree, which I’ll explain soon ) complained about how shallow Destiny 2 was, and how there was nothing to do. And so, Bungie turned Destiny 2 into a no-lifer game. I liked being able to play other games. One of my greatest gaming shames is that I’ve never gotten past the prologue for the Witcher 3 ( Lilac and Gooseberries ) because all my spare time had to go into Destiny 1. I admit to feeling that Destiny 2’s End Game was a bit too shallow, and that nothing in Destiny 2 mattered all that much, and that Bungie needed to go back to drawing board to incentivize continued replay of content. But, I did not feel that the base game ( D2 ) was soo broken that they had to undo everything that the base game had. Destiny often feels like a game of extremes. The porridge is either too hot, or too cold. The chair is either too big, or it’s too small. The bed is either too hard, or too soft. Nothing is just right. There is no in-between. Which is a shame, since I feel that most of the playerbase falls between all the various extremes.

13 RepliesThe people that like the game, like the game. The people who don’t like the game, don’t like the game. If you change the game so those that don’t like it then like it, the people who used to like it then don’t like it. The game can’t please every type of player and as such they decided before shadowkeep that they would cater to the more invested players. People who don’t complain that mechanics or systems don’t favour them as they don’t like them or have time for them, unfortunately these people are to ignorant to realise everybody can’t have everything and can’t please everybody. If you don’t like the game, why are you playing it still? If you have no friends left playing then why should the game change to make it easier for you just because you can’t be bothered to make your own lfg post instead of crying about other people’s requirements on their posts? Entitlement is very dangerous and seems this community suffers it the most.

2 RepliesEdited by Vesiah Matauss: 8/6/2020 1:00:20 AMThis is why I put it down
agree completely with you. They just add more bounties. Soon you’ll need a bounty to get a bounty. And once you click out for the week you start back over again. Stuck in the dreaming cities spreading infinite loop. I hope they fix this game cause it has the right ingredients like d1 at the end.
dont know why or how the spoiler thing came up lol

So you can then post and complain to the forums about how you have no reason to play the game since they're basically showering you in all the gear? And then we repeat the process of the game slowly gaining more grind? Because I've already lived through that cycle of the forums once, I'd rather not see it again. These forums are a literal dumpster fire filled with so many opposing viewpoints it isn't even funny. Each year's quality is just a representation of which crowd -blam!- the loudest.

That would be great. If I just look at my clan discord it is just clearning stuff as fast a possible on 3 character quiet sat
-
its not hard to not play this game for 6 hours everyday. Just go do something else lol Destiny is casual and veteran friendly

3 RepliesBeen playing less and less since season of dawn. At the minute I’m really only running the weekly interference quest on 1 character and then taking a break. Probably not even going to bother with solstice armour grind as I don’t want to burn out before the new game comes out.

2 RepliesRight now. I play to keep my LL at it's highest. So I don't fall behind. But this game is unfortunately not as straight forward as it once was. Looking at what new lights get when they first play........that's just stupidly too much information at once without any logical direction. Not every player has the time to sit there and spend 3 hours putting the game together because the devs were shoddy on the process. Shoddy like their sun setting plans. A court jester could've done better. Levelling has been reduced to a power level number that once you reach a certain point any bonus doesn't exist. Any form of power chasing becomes redundant once you hit 1060 right now and go +15 with the artifact. After +15 you're levelling for nothing but the meme. If it's feeling like a 2nd job put it down. It's currently got no soul / no substance. Kinda like WoW's playerbase if you ask me. I shelved D2 for a while last season and I maybe playing even less this season. If anyone with some form of intellect from Bungie is reading. You've fallen far since Shadowkeep and you're falling further as time progresses. For your sake Beyond light better be more than that smoke and mirrors shambles you called sun setting.

No one is forcing you to play the game like a job. Just be a casual.
