CBMM is fine. Just get rid of the KD tracking in control since it is a “casual” mode. Players would then have no reason to farm and you could try out different load outs and practice to your hearts content. Use clash as the KD tracker.

2 RepliesBoth matchmaking’s have good games and bad games, why does it matter really? Whatever happened to just play the gamr

Playerbase isn’t there for that kind of split.
-
4 RepliesAs long as it's implemented in such a way that a player's choice doesn't limit their potential pool of players, that's fine. That is, as long as a 1.2 K/D player who chose SBMM can match a 1.3 K/D player who chose CBMM, absolutely. Go for it. Otherwise, absolutely not.

We HAD two 6v6 play lists.. Control was SBMM and Classic was CBMM.. no one played Classic. No one plays Trials either.. so Bungie made all play lists except the two that mirror Trials CBMM.. this was done in an attempt to get casual players into 3v3.. Cause you can get better in a SBMM environment. So Bungie hopes eventually they end up in Trials. It was a painfully obvious attempt to boost up the PvP mode that Bungie made an entire season out of and bombed.

16 RepliesSbmm, 5-15minute wait between matches.(not counting the load times) Cbmm, 1-5minute wait between matches(again not counting load times) Personally I like the crucible but I equally like the pve side too. Somedays I just wanna knock out bounties in pvp to get some packages or rank ups. Other days I wanna go sweaty and try my best. I perfer cbmm. I work, I run a household, I do shopping, ect ect. Just standard life stuff. Cbmm helps shave off a few minutes and put them into actual gaming time. I dont care if I get mercy rule once in a while. Bungie puts in cbmm to "respect" players time. This is the reaction they get. People getting salty because they are not as godly as they think. Now revoke the damn armor sunsetting.

37 RepliesChoice —->> SBMM. It’s what the majority of people will play when given a choice, and the sweats won’t have the access to weaker players they feel entitled to.
-
2 RepliesBungie hates player choice. It’ll never happen.

1 ReplyNo. Your opinion DOES. NOT. MATTER. Last season where you had all the sbmm you could want, you had 3 kills. The season before that? Less than 800 total kills. You simply do not play PVP enough to have an opinion that matters. Please, stick your head back in the sand and let us get back to having fun.
-
18 RepliesSweats use the casual matches like control now to purposely boost / stat pad their kdr ... Bungie allowed this by removing SBMM so the sweats flood in in clans or organised stacks just to stomp the weaker players .. Bungie enabled this behaviour and refuses to address it ..

5 RepliesReal men choose CBMM 😎🚬

Ah the usual made cuz bad post.

2 RepliesYes. Put two options right where everyone can see them, same size, right in the middle of the screen. See which one the majority actually prefers.

57 RepliesEdited by Wraith: 7/29/2020 3:20:06 PMYou realize that would literally cut the player pool in half and double all q times across the board right 🤦♂️

4 RepliesI appreciate this post. To be more clear, you should make it more about having MM priorities as opposed to just having this or that. Casue what I've been going for is more harmonious than even just getting to choose one

1 ReplyCall me crazy, but the lag is worse than ever since the switch to CBMM. Uh, what?
-
3 RepliesIt's funny because other games have had this for years, along with dedicated servers AND region selection and their pvp is just fine. Everyone against this is admitting that Destiny's pvp population is unsustainably low and the entire mode should be cut away for the better of the game as a whole.
-
What will you "SBMM" kids do in real life when there are people better suited for a job than you? Get yourself better qualified or cry?
-
3 RepliesNo, the game already has way too many playlists, and this would only decrease the amount of players you can be matched with at any given time which would increase the queue times and make the connection worse. What they need to do is go back to how the crucible director was during Forsaken, and have CBMM in everything else except comp.

All the complainers need to get good. If Bungie are going to split their PvP playerbase it needs to be split between stacks and freelance style playlists. Look at all the crutches Bungie has offered this season : AR Meta, easy to get god rolls of Gnawing Hunger, enhanced scatter projectile targetting through the seasonal artifact. Zero excuses for not improving.
I bet all the people complaining do that stupid crouch up and down while they are firing their auto rifles lol. All it does is make you a slower semi stationary target FFS. You all need to stop doing it!
2 RepliesYou do have that choice, cbmm for casual game modes like control and sbmm for competitive.
-
6 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 7/27/2020 11:59:50 PMOr we could not split the Crucible playerbase into two matchmaking preferences and instead focus on balancing lobbies and teams better.
