Buy an external SSD and load Destiny on to it. Bingo, no more load screens between zones and much faster character viewing.
Best thing I ever bought.

Edited by Swiftchao: 7/24/2020 9:03:35 AMkinda pointless in multiplayer scenarios since you still have to wait for everyone to load in before missions/matches start properly it only helps when you need to change your gear fast or playing solo but that is just about it also might as well wait for the next generation of consoles at this point
-
Stfu nothing about an SSD fixes it sick of these stupid replies. Until Bungie gets off their Halo 1 servers nothings going to change....get up to speed bro!
-
I think they rent their server space from Fred down the pub. It's a bank of Atari ST's.
-
SSD has helped me on Xbox. From your response you obviously haven’t had the same experience and that’s fine. Doesn’t mean others wont get some benefit out of it.
-
Nah hes right, ssd does fix your load time in certain areas, but in anywhere you team up for multiplayer it is pointless. Lets say me, and another buddy who dont have ssds load into a strike with you. If you load in faster than us thanks tp your ssd, you still get black screen, as you have to wait for us and our slow loading times to load in with you.
-
Yes totally agree. Luckily majority of our clan has gone SSD so we have hardly any issues.
-
It helps but won't solve the problem.
-
My bro has an ssd and it's still bad
-
I've got an SSD and it's still bad.
-
not necessarily, it depends on the speed the USB interface is for that external drive. it is always better to upgrade the main drive for the console, and for PC for that matter. this will speed up every aspect of your console.
-
idk about xbox but on ps4 pro it's better to install a internal ssd for the sata speeds versus USB
-
I have an X and SSD and everything is fast enough. The loading times aren’t long and I can switch weapons/armor fast. Maybe this guy just had an old xbox
-
See I have an x with an external ssd, fibre 1000 up/ down and it’s hard wired with cat 6 but I still get slow responses in the menu and loading into areas sometimes. It’s bungies end that is the problem.
-
Maybe this guy just had an old xbox
yeah seriously, one guy complaining that he shouldnt have to buy a SSD ...well welcome to 2020 and your old standard HDDs showing their age up against SSDs and nvmes drives

Best thing I ever bought.
The day I have to buy something for my conslos to have a better experience for any game is the day that company needs to stop creating games. It shows they don't know what they're doing as developers. There isn't one single game in 30 year of gaming I ever had to buy anything to improve the experience. The truth here is, it's their broken 1990's engine that is the issue with this game. End of story.

.....N64 had one

-
what the best place to buy it?
-
This is probably a really stupid question... Can that be applied to console?
-
Absolutely, connects via USB. I have all my other games stored on Xbox internal drive and only keep Destiny on external SSD. Makes a huge difference and they are not expensive.

-
You can put other games on an ssd as well. It's just a nice thing to have in general
-
I agree but it does the job. I only chose to have one game on the SSD cause I mainly play destiny. I could have them all on there. Won’t need it come next gen console cause SSD will be onboard.

Thank you very much for the great tip!
