Today I will cover the prismatic recaster. Credit where it’s due, this is incredibly innovative and very well done. I hope this is what we see more of next season BUT I have one jarring issue with it. Trace Overrides, the item you need to focus armor engrams, is limited to not only 5 in your inventory, but you can only purchase 5 a week! This is a HUGE missed opportunity imo and a very, very poor gate that’s intended to artificially limit your ability to play. This wouldn’t be a problem if the armor you got out of it wasn’t 99% ass. In my last 3 weeks, I have purchased 15 “recovery” focused engrams. I have kept ONE roll I got, and it’s very mediocre.
Now I understand making it too easy to acquire these would quite possibly break the game but I have a different solution: allow us to buy 5 of these per DAY as opposed to week, with the price of them increasing exponentially until reset. Please, give me a reason to play destiny more than just 4 games of crucible a week.

I got one of each for the Triumph. The gear dropped low stats compared to some of my other armor sets. Most of my GoS armor pieces are in the 80-90 stat rolls modded and masterworked.

The stat focused armor rarely hits 60. Typically 2 or 3 of the stats of the piece are a '2' Totally not worth the effort.

They really aren’t worth your time The rolls are random and rarely focus on what you’re striving for

2 RepliesEdited by UNIT 242: 7/22/2020 9:52:34 AMI have 10k element and deleted my trace overrides. They just suck compared to non focused which have a pretty decent chance to be exotics and usually have higher state rolls. I have a god roll of all the weapons offered in the engrams already and I'm base gear 1060 so I don't need armor focusing. I wish I could donate my element to get more umbrals or something.

Recaster is useless once you have your rolls. Turn in unfocused for exotic chances is the way forward.
-
Just don't waste your time on them

I stopped buying them.

1 ReplyI don't even bother with the focused armor, it doesn't work. I have gotten 2 point rolled on a "recovery focus". It's a complete joke.
