Players of all skill levels paid for the game before it became free to play, they didn’t steal anything from you. Pretty much all shooters had no SBMM in the past and that worked fine, you got wrecked until you learned how to play, and nodoby had these tantrums about it. Biggest issues with SBMM are the extended queue times and lag issues that both increase exponentially for above average players (and for players living in sparsely populated regions, or players who have to play outside their regions peak hours), they paid for the game just like you so why should they get an inferior experience ? You can improve if you are not happy with your performance, but you can’t do anything about not having enough worthy opponents in your region under SBMM, lack of players within a skill bracket forces the game to extend the search area and often enough you end up connecting players from multiple continents which results in horrible lag.
