Simple example!
Earlier deathmatch results were like 15, 14, 14, 10, 9, 8. So low-skilled players had sweaty seassions too! And argument that top players are tired of sweaty matches isn't valid. Worse players also had tough matches.
Now results are: 28, 16, 12, 5, 3, 2. Top players get easy frags and low-skilled players don't have a chance. This is unfair, Bungie literally stole the game from low-skilled players who had paid for it!

13 RepliesI agree. Those who defend the changes, and say that we shouldn't complain and just 'get good', clearly operate under lowered intellect and are not worth arguing with. They'll never see that it's not a case of playing against opponents way out of your league and learning by getting your ass whipped. Anyone who argues otherwise doesn't understand how learning works. Take athletics and sports. No junior league team will learn anything or develop their skills by playing against seasoned professional players. You dont put kindergarteners up against high schoolers. Every major, competitive sport has brackets and leagues. Individuals and teams learn by refining skills in their own bracket and move up or down depending on performance. That's what skilled based matchmaking was, and crucible was actually enjoyable for a time. Now it's just a sweat fest. Casual modes should be just that ~ casual. How can Bungie ensure that gameplay is fun and actually casual again? By reinstating skill based matchmaking. Those who want high level competition, you've got IB and Trials for higher stakes and rewards. I tend to keep out of those, as I know I'm not good enough. And I'm fine with that. But the crucible was different. It felt like more of an even playing field. But now, people who aren't as good at PvP but would like the pinnacle reward, have to endure 4 matches of getting stomped or just forget the drop completely, while those players who are good get to enjoy feeling even more godlike. It just seems like Bungie have decided to favour one portion of their player base over the other. Again.
