Sunsetting is lazy and a big slap in the face to your players
Sunsetting weapons to only reissue them is a major slap in the face to your players. We get the rolls on weapons we want masterwork them to have them become useless and then make us grind for the exact same weapons.. just shows bungie doesn't care about their players.
You should put a nix on sunsetting because you're excuse for doing it became a lie the second you started to reissue the same weapons with higher power limits......
If you go through with it you will lose alot of players
At the very least masterworking a weapon should be alot cheaper to do...
Second you gave a reprieve for two sets of raid weapons, all raid weapons should be exempt from sunsetting at the very least. I love my midnight coup but it will be useless after this season..
Come on bungie you can do better then this crap. It's just lazy programming and a total lack of respect of the time you're players put into this game..
Remember this lie bungie, you can play how you want with the loadout you want where you want. Just a total lie...

4 RepliesSunsetting will help the game by helping prevent power creep and will cause a continually changing meta. Yes re issues are a thing but they aren’t re issueing weapons that break the meta. Either suck it up or stop playing. Don’t start trying to ruin careers because you don’t like changes that will most likely help the game in the long term

They had no idea [i]what[/i] they had but Luke Smith recognized it was lightning in a bottle... And people would throw money at the screen. From that point on destiny has been on a downward trajectory that prioritized profit over anything else. Six years of making poor decisions has twisted and wrung the very soul out of the game. So little goes into the game year after year but look how much we've lost.

3 RepliesI understand the intentions but it might have to do with the fact that a good amount of the player base is brain dead, or the pve community has become so focused on massive damage to do everything quicker. [spoiler]because D2 is an easy game compared to D1[/spoiler] There’s a multitude of reasons but I don’t think sunsetting weapons and especially armor is the answer.

7 RepliesThe entire reason they're sunsetting gear is because enough people unlocked some guns, then refused to use anything else ever again, your midnight coup is an example of that. It's an attempt to make the game accessible to newer players, by removing the elitism older players exhibit. Why would a new player want to do the revoker quest, or mountaintop if they constantly get stomped by revokers and mountaintops. And for the record, it's not a slap in the face at all, a huge number of these guns have existed for years, you've had years of using them.

Yes you're right, all weapons will just be reissued and the loot pool will remain the same....that's what sunsetting is.

In a way yes it’s annoying but look at other games like wow every expansion the stuff we grinded for becomes obsolete. I get it’s annoying but I also get why bungie is doing it. Every pvp March it’s the same weapons every try hard in trials same weapon every raid post requires you to have said op weapons or you can’t join them
