Sorry but here is the reality. I don't like it, I don't like the idea of vaulting content, but here is the reality. You purchased access to content, not the content. When any game shutters it's doors you lose that access. This would be the same exact thing if Bungie decided to release D3 instead of the upcoming expansion. All support would stop for D2. If you think of it this way it makes the same sense as any other game you bought that servers are no longer online.

But its also old content to fill in new. How many people enjoy playing the same Curse strikes? All the curse strikes are very annoying to run through. Also its a nice feeling of “I was there moment.” You gotta look at it from a positive perspective.. they cant fit everything on console just because of space. Its also a “vault” they can bring back these things at any time as the game keeps growing, hence why they hinted at D1 exotics/raids. Im also 99% sure the community wants D1 raids then the Y1 content

Bungie states that the Destiny 2 world... "cannot continually expand due to (their) hardware requirements... meaning possible server storage requirements (?). I see both the logic and illogic behind their thinking:: Logically if they keep adding content and locations, the game [i]will[/i] get huge...impossible [i]maybe[/i] for their tech support to maintain. But the illogical reasoning is that if the game is becoming to big to handle, then get more storage servers... I know that in the world of gaming all the work/grinding that the consumers do is of little value to the company. But we are still shelling out the money both for the games/add-ons/season passes every year PLUS the internet connection fees... Also, many of the players actually have to leave the game in order to work in the real world/take care of their families.... I mean, this season I am trying hard to grind every day just to finish all the rewards of the season, and I don't see that happening. Am I going to pay for next season? Probably not...if I can't make it through this season (I know paying for the season is optional)

100% scam. Power creep exists from a few outlier perks, weapons, and exotics. If bungie knew how to balance the sandbox regularly then this wouldn’t be a problem. Instead we get sunsetting which just dumps everyones gear in the trash. Its a lazy approach. Power creep is related to sandbox balancing not gear accumulation.

I would not have had any problem with sunsetting IF bungie would have done the following -exclude armor -exclude pinnacle weapons Its really stupid to be sunsetting armor. Like, i have gear i like, because of the mods i can use. Sun setting gear is literally just a big F you to the player, because its forcing us to grind out gear that we want, all over again with nothing new except OH you can go up in light level! Grinding out a piece of armor, gunning for the same, or damn near the same, stat distribution is not engaging, its not inventive, its not a good mechanic, its grinding to grind. If the new armor did stuff like, set bonus? then yeah ok, cool i ahve a reason to get this armor now, but im literally just going working to get a piece of gear, that has the same stat distribution, going to have the same ornament on it, the same mods, just OH i get to upgrade this one to this new limit, its stupid. WIth pinnacle weapons, these absolutely should have been excluded, especially pve based pinnacles. Now you have a bunch of them that never saw the light of day to begin with, and now never will. All that hard work and effort wasted. I hate that bungie is forcing me to play their way. I like rose, i love that gun, i always use it. I love the sound, i love the look, i love the archtype, now im being told lol nope no fun allowed. What bungie SHOULD have done, but they were to much of cowards to do it. Was just admit there were problem items in the game. They should have sucked it up, and nerfed the item causing problems and not made everything suffer because of it. IE things like revoker, recluse, mountain top. They did it with lunas howl, not forggoten, and the last word, they can do it with those weapons they just wanted to be lazy.

Maybe the dumb people want grind for the same weapons and armour again. Or maybe they haven't bothered grinding for it or masterworked said gear because they are casuals. Or maybe they are PvP players so don't care about sunsetting. Maybe they didn't see it fail miserably in D1 . Yehhhh let's do it again . Nice one Bugo

Content that no one is playing is being removed how is that an issue

I just heard that the DLC from year 1 Destiny 2 was being removed. If that means that owners can no longer access paid content then Bungie better crunch the numbers and make sure they can afford the pay out. That DLC is still being sold in collections. Consumers have rights and protections. I will contact my state attorney general's consumer affairs division to get refunded. As far as I know this is unprecedented from a company that's not bankrupt. I can still play House of Wolves from Destiny 1, right? Unless Bungie thinks they are able to hide behind Activision. That would likely end up with Activision suing Bungie. That might just be worth the financial loss to me. The whole of Destiny 2 is a scam! Boycott the thieving c##ts. I came back to the forums a couple of days ago. Thought I’d take a look and see if anything had changed since I was last involved with this shiit. Been away from this terrible affliction known as Bungie for 6-7 months, maybe longer. I noticed after a few days I started to feel better with my physical and mental well-being. (This is no joke) I felt so much better with this shiit game and company out of my life. Let them go, they won’t change, free your soul. It has done me the world of good.

Sunsetting is Bungie's way to keep from having to work for a year. Now all we will get is old weapons with a new higher light level. It's a-blam!-ing scam! I'm glad to see d1 stuff get put into d2 but DAMN! How many times are you going to make me pay for shit I've already paid for. This has been the Activision free bungie we heard about over a year ago. "Hey let's put this, this, this, and this back in the game and call it NEW content". Sad thing is there are people defending bungies poor decisions.

Well the fact is they cant add more shit because there is so much shit the ps4 cant handle it all so they have to remove shit to make room . notice how slow the game is now .
