I'm tired of wasting my time loading into matches that are 45 seconds from ending. If I see I'm flying into a match past 50 points in I'm picking swap character. I'm not even going to fly in from orbit.

1 ReplyEnjoy your, first temporary, but then permanent pvp Ban :)

In cod I would leave nuke town and any shoe box sized map immediately. It became a " load shoebox sized map and quit simulator " so I stopped playing cod games.
-
Well if that's really how you feel... *puts on Dark Souls narrator voice* In doing so, the day shall come when another takes your place, and thus, the cycle will continue...

10 RepliesI went into a match that was 12-46, My team won. It's not Difficult to play catch-up.
-
1 ReplyYeah, I mean you get no rewards for games in progress, in fact, you'll most likely be punished because the game will mark you as AFK since you don't get that many kills. I don't mind joining games in progress but it is just a waste of time.
-
1 ReplyI mean, you're already wasting your time playing crucible....
-
When I join a game in progress, I tryhard and usually end up with a win.
-
Better yet. Just do what I do and leave matches that you have no chance of winning. If my team are thumbless imbeciles I'm not going to stay and get spawnfarmed by a bunch of people riding each other's dicks.
-
Leaving a match effects your elo on DestinyTracker. Not that it matters I guess. I’ve taken over 1000 loses due to joining garbo matches in progress...
-
If I'm doing my pinnacle matches, I'll dance for the last minute of the match and enjoy my free pinnacle.
-
Agreed. I dont tolerate any of this crap. Imo, bungle sold me a nonworking, broken product, and i will leave literally any match thats garbage; comp, trials, dont give a hoot. Bungie made the game like this. If they didn't want you to leave, they would've prevented it. They can't even manage real bans on real cheaters, i wouldn't worry about em seeking out actual players who quit matches that their shit code creates.
-
7 RepliesWon't take you long to get banned, but you do you, boo.
-
Look on the bright side. The match ends that’s much sooner, and it’s not like you get extra rewards for winning
-
Honestly I hate PvP, so when I do hop in at that point im happy. One less full match to get a pinnacle.

5 RepliesI'm doing this now too for another reason. At some point in last few months they changed some aspect of the code that means if I load in mid-match none of the character or weapon textures have loaded. So everyone is barely visible probably for a good minute. This is on older consoles, every single time, and it absolutely did not used to do this. So you get: 1. thrown in to what is already highly likely to be a massive mismatch of players causing players to leave. 2 . A corresponding highly likely score imbalance - an already foregone, dead game. 3. Often you'll have no chance to ever get your Super. 4. And be in just in time to face a team full of supers. 5. Be completely blinded and a sitting duck until textures load in addition. There's little to no positive to stay unless you're just staying for a quicker completion and don't mind being a punch bag.
-
8 RepliesIt will take you longer than 45 seconds just to load back into the game. Why the hell would you quit such a easy completion?
-
2 RepliesCool story bruh...
-
3 RepliesFeel better for sharing?
-
6 RepliesIf you lose it doesn’t count against your win streak, but quitting does. The active player base is at an all-time low, so you better get used to it.
-
3 RepliesCongratulations mindsets like yours are why matches in progress are joinable in the first place
-
I've been doing this for years...
-
Good for you?
-
-
Who you threatening?
-
Also bounties dont count when joining in progress.
-
1 ReplyYou should also realize that when joining a match in progress often your bounties won’t progress. Back out of all games that you join in progress. Waste of time. Unless you like the challenge of trying to comeback from a large score deficit that is?
