I still havent seen one good argument as to why balancing a few weapons isn't a better idea than getting rid of a tonne of loot. It's only so they can sell it back to you, anyone who's played this game knows that but the fan boys lap it up. You aren't going to be getting new and powerful weapons, you havent had any since pinnacles (exotics are staying so mute argument) that literally defeats the purpose of sunsettting if they introduced loads of new OP gear. They use power creep as an excuse because of the lack of ability and effort to balance correctly Getting rid of loot is just the easiest and fastest way to sell it back that's it. It solves an issue they want to solve with as little effort as possible, even if it does annoy half the player base.
