Just wanted to shout-out the design team for this exotic!
It's easily top tier for design and uniqueness. You feel so bad ass using it with the spool up rattling away and a giant Arc bubble shield around you with 500 rounds to play with!
Fun and viable of your exotic slot, can't wait till you all get to earn this gun too and for the grind to be worth it for something SO FUN.
And be sure to pair it with Actium War Rig for no reloads!
I'm legit never unequipping this gun because it puts such a smile on my face, can't wait to get a Catalyst for it soon too hopefully <3
Edit : I'm so disappointed to see so much negativity about the gun or its grind. I understand opinions but cmon guys!
Edit 2 : To those complaining about OPTIMAL DPS, Get a grip. Do you really think it was designed for DPS in mind? No it's for fun and melting large groups of Hive or Meme builds in crucible, you know... Having fun? Oh wait nevermind your still rocking a Recluse/Izanagi in PvE and you absolutely use Hardlight in PvP because you cannot understand what being different is because all that matters is WINNING and being OPTIMAL. But I guarantee if for some reason Bungie buffed it to become the best OPTIMAL DPS, You'll all flock to it like Xenophage or Hardlight in PvP.

11 RepliesEdited by twirlypen: 4/27/2020 5:28:53 PMDon't try to be a hero with it. The arc shield makes it borderline unusable in pvp.

2 RepliesI don't care what anyone says about the Heir Apparent I really like this weapon. I hear people say 'well 21% Delirium is a 900 RPM that does essentially the same thing but without the arc shield...' PSHSLSH! For one thing the arc shield really is so awesome! I never felt like a bad-ass so much in D2 just walking around with a shield surrounding you and mowing down adds. And yeah it's the same archetype as 21% but if you look at the stats and compare them you can see Heir Apparent has more impact and it's better in every way. I love 21% but unless I'm using Divinity, Fourth Horseman, 1K or Anarchy I will be using my Heir Apparent, it's one of my new favorites, and this is coming from someone who has every exotic in the game.

4 RepliesMe and a friend utilized a cabal interceptor. I was using HA, and my friend was driving, I was on top just raining bullet. Very fun in ep.
-
I don’t understand this mindset. Who plays to lose? I always play to win.
-
3 RepliesWas interesting to try it out for 30 seconds, see the lower DPS it performed in comparison to other exotic heavies and relegate it to the vault for all time. Meh gun...
-
4 RepliesI love that damn gun for pvp... Just walking around as a turret with a big arc shield just gunning everyone down
-
8 RepliesOh and what have you been rocking before you grind your ass for this gun ? Stop being a dick just wait for a week or two I will be nerfed to the ground including titan exotic chest peace than I will ask you do you like you new shiny gun . Bloody he’ll
-
Bungo will nerf it next month, because we like it
-
It has become my favorite exotic.
-
The spin up feature is what I wanted on sweet business but this will do just fine!
-
It definitely looks like a gun worthy of fun. Would LOVE to have it on my big, mean, menacing, and pink Titan I just can't bring myself to grind like that for a "fun gun."
-
14 RepliesI love the gun but I despised every second of the grind to get it. I hated it so much that I have not done a single event bounty or collected a single Laurel after I got it (and will continue to sidestep this event for the remainder of the season). There’s a reason so many of us feel that way. I’m glad you liked it and had a good time but many of us Destiny veterans despise grinding specific bounties that force you to play content you don’t enjoy for little-to-no reward. Some of my more casual friends logged off immediately upon seeing the boring grind required to “earn” it and have not played Destiny since. Whoever thought that a class war was a good idea is a -blam!-in’ moron and has absolutely no idea how to create or deliver fun and meaningful content.

Boooooooo 👎👎👎👎
-
Got mine last night. Thing shreds trash mobs, and does a decent amount of damage, though Xenophage is still at the top. I’m personally liking it.
-
I really enjoy seeing positivity on these forums, with this last season bringing the worst out of a lot of players, it's always nice to see something uplifting for a change
-
7 RepliesI want the gun but I just can't bring myself to go for it. It's the first time I'm actually burnt out of D2 because of this mindless bounty grind. It's too much and too boring. Every time I boot the game and check the requirements to get it I immediately lose interest. I hope the gun eventually returns as a random drop like Albarest did.

Edited by Shockwave 989: 4/28/2020 8:44:07 AMJust like Xenophage when it first launched I love it, feels like an Exotic. Love when Bungie get experimental with weapon fundamentals.
-
1 ReplyWhen I first heard of this gun, I imagined the perks would be to grant an arc shield and to throw a volley of rockets from the gun when firing for a long time. I guess I was half right but it would have been so cool if it also did the missile barrage they do.
-
1 ReplyPetition to call it One Girthy Boi.
-
The only thing I dont like about the gun is the red dot sight I would have loved to see a different sight like the one on the seraph auto, smg, and machine gun has like I get you can't ads but still could use a better sight than a tiny red dot sight.
-
Just had the opportunity to use this in Sorrow's Harbor vs the Nightmares there and it tears them apart. It really is a fun weapon to use.
-
9 RepliesYour edit 2 is today’s gamer. If it’s not top tier or most optimal option it’s trash. It’s not just in Destiny. Mentality is everywhere.
-
The grind is too long though...
-
Gun still does a crap load of damage and has a crap load of ammo, Dps matters sure, but it’s not the only thing. Seriously this thing gives you a shield just for spinning it up. To people who don’t like this weapon, go earn it and use it. People say the same shit about Tommy’s matchbook and that gun is also a lot of fun and has a skill gap.
-
I agree, that gun looks cool and is fun to use.
-
3 RepliesIt's a pretty cool gun but it's a heavy. I don't really like heavy exotics. Kinetic and energy exotics are better 99% of the time. I still like thunderlord and 21% delerium and hammerhead and avalanche more.
