Not Forgotten

With autorifles leaving everything in the dust can you put Not Forgotten back to 180RPM to compete?

    • Be more adventurous, tactical rushing with rat king and doing guerilla attacks with it can be very effective as well. Been having great fun with it lately despite my ears bleeding from the sound of hard lights everywhere

      • I've read so many of these comments. Looks like I hit a nerve... it looks like a 70/30 split. 70 for and 30 against. I've missed autos in crucible but I also miss my NF. LUNA can stay at 150. NF needs to be back at 180.

        • I just have 2 statements to make on this .. When most 600rpm auto rifles have a TTK that's comparable to pre nerf recluse, yet everyone is "fine with it" I'm just over here like 🤔 Why nerf Recluse in the first place? When most 600rpm auto rifles have a TTK that's on par with pre nerf Luna/NF and yet everyone is "fine with that" I'm still over here like 🙃 Well what the diddly -blam!-?

            • I was thinking the same thing, if I get the first shot off especially if it’s nothing but headshots with NF and the guy starts shooting at me 2nd, then it shouldn’t end in a fu/cking trade. It takes zero skill to just hold the trigger an obliterate any guardian. It’s to the point were people are getting disintegrated mid super. getting killed in 0.3 seconds if they jump in the air. Scout rifle battles being lost due to hard light having zero damage drop off an damn near max range with zero recoil like wtf lol!? Trials drops, kids are literally running around with Hard lights as if it’s a LMG... I haven’t played a single fu/ckin game were somebody DIDNT have hard light on...

                • No. We've been in a hand cannon meta for the vast majority of this game's lifespan. Time to switch it up for awhile. For some reason, hand cannon users feel entitled to always be the meta. I like hand cannons and I have NF. Considering how the Warmind DLC has been lackluster, the meta shift has really been the only refreshing thing this season.

                    • Aztecross put out a video asking why they bothered nerfing Recluse knowing that they would roll out the current meta. https://youtu.be/mNs2Csz5uT0 The whole power creep thing is BS. Sunsetting weapons every 9 - 15 months is Bungie’s backhanded way of balancing the sandbox without taking blame for their choices. They’d be conditioning players to expect the change in meta vs. be pissed at the changes. The answer is in the video - let multiple archetypes achieve a .6 - .8 TTK and be good with it.

                        • Gone flawless 2 weeks running with NF now, it’s the jest handcannon on console and can easily compete. Was harder this week but definitely has advantages over autos such as peak shooting and cleaning up kills as the enemy tries to flee.

                        • Hardlight, Suros, The Summoner, Galliard, and whatever else I am missing are more effective than Trace Rifles. I don't know Trace Rifle optimal TTK off the top of my head (couldn't quickly find it doing Google search), but it doesn't matter. Auto Rifles are easier to use, they have enough range to just about nullify Trace Rifles "infinite" range, AND they take Primary Ammo. Seriously, they are more effective than what is basically the same weapon type that should be stronger as it uses limited Special Ammo. Like they always do, Bungie swung the pendulum too far in buffing Auto Rifles. The deep magazines, ease of use, fast TTK's, and range rivaling that of Pulse Rifles is too much. They need to be put on even footing with the rest of the Primaries, or Luna, Not Forgotten, Recluse and the nerfs to Hand Cannons, Snipers, Shotguns and Fusion Rifles need to be reverted. A low skill-ceiling weapon should not dominate like Auto Rifles do. For the record, one of my most hated guns ever was Doctrine of Passing. Anyone that was around knows how broken that gun was.

                          Changing it back to a 180 would hurt the gun unless MH gets reverted, and I'd rather avoid NF dominating console for another 9 months, even though I have it. Edit: Fun fact, it was actually nerfed more than the patch notes said. The patch notes said Luna/ NF's damage per shot was increased to match a 150 and it's RPM change. The nerfs to MH were that it only benefited the 3rd shot and the bonus damage only applied to body shots. Nerfing a gun and nerfing a perk exclusive to the gun are two VERY different things, nowhere in those notes was a damage nerf to MH even implied. MH is still supposed to hit for 97 damage to the body.

                        • It's really only Hard Light that's causing problems. Some will argue Suros, but you have to dump part of your mag before Spinning Up becomes a problem, something that smarter opponents will easily play around.

                          • I used mine in Iron Banner last go round. I did just fine. While I wont argue against a buff.. not sure if "leaving them in the dust" is acurate either.

                              Handcannons are still the best weapontype Imo. Autos you have to fully expose yourself. Handcannons can peek shoot around or above cover. If cover is utilized, autos will still lose to handcannons. And nf is still the best handcannon on console

                                I think Magnificant Howl just needs to be persistent through kills, and give headshots damage again. It gives it an edge in getting multikills instead of cheesing 1v1s

                                Seems to me like not forgotten and recluse could both be changed back maybe? Idk. The only weapons that feel lacking in pvp to me right now are smgs everything feels usable. I do weapon bounties in pvp all the time so yeah I end up using all different types. Hardlight only feels like a problem when there's more then one firing at you at a time. Lets be honest anytime you have more then one of something shooting at you it becomes hard to handle. Around corners can be a pain but my suggestion back out and go around as long as they are firing they are probably hard scoped pop em from the back.
