Dawn title stuck behind “Glory Rank” needs to stop
TLDR: New light player struggling with Glory rank quest collectible. Needs to be Valor based.
I’ve been grinding Season of dawn and have completed almost every single quest and task to every for the triumph seal and “savior” title. Look at my account. I’m only missing “Glory Rank Hero” in the heart of the dragon. It’s been a blast the last couple moths. However, just a little constructive criticism. Can you please not lock the title behind a crucible collectible based on RNG? My title is locked and I never get it because I’m not a PVP player. It’s not my bag. Sure I’ll do it if need but I’m never going to get good. Also, being a new light player is a struggle not having the gear. My glory rank is stuck on B3 and the matchmaking as very poor. One game its fine and competitive then others it’s a blowout and I don’t even get a single kill. I’ve tried…i really have but it’s not going to happen unless the RNG gods strike my opponents down.
My point being that crucible (Survival/Comp) is such a grind and frustration I’m considering walking away from the game. Maybe if the collectible was tied to valor I would have an issue since those playlist are more competitive and interesting. So please leave the glory rank collectibles out of the title chase. I’m sure I’m not the only casual player that enjoys other aspects of the game (i.e. story) way more the crucible and now with The Worth next week I think this might be my last days. :(

UPDATE: So tried a few things. Took the advice and changed my loadout. Spent several hours with mixed results. Sad to say I never broke B3 rank. I'm still stuck at 665. I'm out of time since I wont be on tomorrow. It's just not in the cards for me.
LAST UPDATE: I ended with my KD at 0.5...played a few more games...lost most of them, badly, I was the only guardian in 2 of those games so it was 3vme. Needless to say, the idea that this is "easy" or it should be just 1 hour is a false assumption. This is by far the worse PVP experience I've ever had in a game. Its even turned me off for even wanting to play PVE. I still stand by my original post. Matchmaking is broken and "glory" is a lame way to lock a seal.

You mean a title designed for people who play every part of the game is locked behind playing every part of the game.

It's a seal. It's supposed to make you go out of your comfort zone to grab it. Not everything in the game is supposed to easily fall in your lap.

But you're stuck in the midset of "can't" instead of figuring out how to get it done. Also, I'm kind of a completionist so of course I "have" to get the title but it's not an "impressive" title at all. Nobody with a more exclusive title will ever actually use it. If you're not obtaining most or all of the titles in the game, why do you even care about "missing out" on a stupid one?

But the glory required is cumulative, not reaching a certain rank, it's just playing some matches, same as the kills with linear fusions this season.

The "grind" to heroic takes literally no time, and I'm absolutely trash in the crucible. I can tell you 100% that your mindset of "man I wish I wasn't doing this" is absolutely hurting your performance. I know playing a game mode you may not like sucks, but it's not reason for something to be changed. Buck up and give it a worthwhile try. You might be surprised. I say this from experience, bc I have *never* been a sniper in any fps game but having to grind out Revoker made me love sniping more than anything, completely changed my play style
