Title.
Games like Destiny will actually host a type of community armor design contest where the top submissions are voted on by the community to be placed in game. Seems like a waisted oppurtunity to me.
-
To be fair just anything. Look at halos forges. If they are "struggling to make content" why not let the community pitch ideas.
-
1 ReplyAgreed. I have seen zero armor this season worth chasing. Iron Banner better come through.

1 ReplyEdited by Trafalgar_Lou: 3/9/2020 11:17:46 AMAlways loved the fan made skins in warframe. Allot of them were cooler than the originals and the company had no issue putting them in there game and giving credit to creators. Mind you warframe also have many dev streams to stay in touch with the community.
-
Been asking for this since D1 Year 1.
-
This is such a good idea! 90% of all D2’s armour has been trash
-
Or a weapon design contest, for which the winners would have their designs be actually use by the community. Exotic for first prize and legendary for 2nd.
-
It’s too hard, what with VPK getting out at 3:00 pm.
-
5 RepliesThey don't want to pay for the designs and/or give them a portion of the profits. They're too greedy. We'll just be stuck with the unicorn rainbow farts that are the trash armor designs we get now.
-
There's all legal issues in place i suppose (especially if it goes in paid content or eververse) I suppose if they did a contest like this they could add the set to free content like a new vanguard set in exchange for prizes.
-
20 RepliesWarframe does it so bungie will probably do it eventually. Bungie copies everything warframe does.
-
Probably scared someone has better designs than them. Look how much fun monster hunter has with fan made weapons and they have no issues.
-
Because player made armor would look better then everything
-
Because they would be put to shame and they can’t handle the embarrassment of it.
-
2 RepliesLegal nightmare. Unless you got all of the contestants to wave their rights to their work, they could demand financial compensation later if they made it to the game.
-
Have an upvote, guardian.
-
Oof this is a brilliant idea honestly one of the most sickest I've heard on here I've seen alot of fan art armour that looks amazing and bungie have shared it but not made in the game
-
Well they brought in a fashion show event, who knows? Maybe they'll do this.
-
Because then they are putting themselves in a position where they are held accountable. Bungie doesn't seem to like being accountable for anything. :P

Edited by sum12mezzwith: 3/8/2020 6:42:51 PMBecause they arent community friendly. You should have picked that up on year one of destiny.

5 RepliesBecause no matter who wins people will complain... Specially here! Let's be real
-
Because dady knows best. I would like more animal-inspired sets.
-
Too much work. Their feeble minds are taxed enough as is. You think they have the ability to contemplate let alone organize such an event? HA!
-
4 RepliesThey find it difficult to directly admit a failure.
-
They tell there community. They are not told by there community. It’s in their DNA. The only annoying thing is that they pretend to engage with their community.
-
Edited by PRIME_-LeGEND: 3/8/2020 3:18:46 PMAnother word for this is crowdsourcing. I agree entirely. Bungie could use this to their advantage by saving art costs.
