Title says it
No reason to cap those mats, it’s truly annoying.
Also allow champion mods on exotic weapons already, it’s beyond time for it. Just sucks to see 96% of them collecting dust bc we can’t use them for most endgame.
Edit: upgrade modules shouldn’t cap at 25 either, such a terrible system for veteran players.

The economy has ALWAYS been trash in Destiny. Between caps, too many different currencies, terrible exchange rates, lack of things to spend some currency on, etc. I understand they want to keep the grinders in check but people will always either find a way around the economy or just not engage with it to begin with. Even casual players walk around with full glimmer most of the time, only to be screwed like the rest of us when Bungie implements things we need to spend it on in short spurts. Spider made out like a bandit these last few weeks, and now we'll go back to not spending and not earning for no real reason. Literally every consumable/currency item in the entire franchise has been mishandled one way or another.

Edited by Lord Magris: 3/7/2020 7:32:57 AMThey should also allow them to be placed in your Vault. I have 100 Enhancement Prisms. 50 in my inventory and 50 in my Postmaster. It would be great if I could at least move them around and relieve the poor robot.

2 RepliesI mean when some people in the community are converting 3 shards into a crappy exotic to dismantle at a later date their is a problem. And yes this is happening.
-
3 RepliesCaps are time wasters and to make sure it's harder to prepare for future content, this game had artificial caps for years and it wasn't to benefit the players. Same goes for cores for shards doubling each time, they want you to login every day. They just want you to play for all the wrong reasons.
-
3 RepliesWhy have a cap at all.
-
11 RepliesHot take: they shouldn't even exist.
-
I think people are missing the elephant in the room here. If armor was worth masterworking you wouldn't need to increase the cap.
-
Devil's run...I know it's only 1 exotic that applies to what you're talking about, even better when solar singe is active. At least Bungie thought about it... once...LMAO....
-
I just don’t bother master working most stuff lol
-
I love having to go buy shards because my prisms are full. Flawless economy.
it just works
1 ReplyEdited by Ardour: 3/6/2020 11:36:08 AMDont even care bout dat crap. Im not that crazy to masterwork panties. That economy is a bs. My life is too good for that.

2 RepliesStore em' in the post master

2 RepliesHopefully the cap does go up on the prisms and the upgrade modules As for Gold golf balls, ive never had more than 4 to even know what the cap is for them..7 980's over the last 2 days and not one has dropped

buuump

agree completely.

Prisms frankly have no point in existing other than being a sink for the surplus of cores. I'd either scrap them entirely or make their price the armor equivalent of cores and create a much better (rather, less absurd) material sink. Ascendant Shards could go up to 25; I have no idea why someone would hoard any more than that when they'd got enough for multiple armor sets, even with exotics included.
-
3 RepliesHow in the living heck have you even discovered the cap for ascendant shards? I've never even been close I'm sure lol
-
1 ReplySeriously? I don’t think many people even have very many of those. Your title is like saying to people “you shouldn’t have more than 1 million dollars in your checking account”. I don’t think it’s an issue for the vast majority of people.

1 ReplyEdited by Dr_Cornwallace42: 3/6/2020 12:09:33 AMI haven’t been that rich so what are the caps for those mats? Nevermind I kept scrolling, 10 shards isn’t really that many

Edited by Cinderchar: 3/5/2020 10:39:25 PMYou really can't figure out the reason that cap is there?

4 RepliesThis is the most elitist of elitist problems.

1 ReplyIf “most endgame” includes ordeal and nothing else, yeh sure

Those caps were put there purely to keep people from accumulating too many materials and then benefitting from them in a future season without a grind. Don't worry - they've not yet told us how they're going to blow up the economy. It has to be coming. Think we'll see a vendor refresh? No way. Not unless they change the economy or come up with some other way to make us waste our materials (Tribute Hall 2.0?). People have ammassed too many materials and currencies. They're not going to allow us to get anything new or instantly max out our gear by just standing around turning in materials and currencies.
-
Agreed. But it's Bungle, so they don't care.

1 ReplyBump. Imagine losing a golf ball when you’re postmaster gets full. 🤦♂️
