  • I'd also say its a horrible puzzle due to 99% of the community (over estimate) having to do nothing nothing and get rewarded for the "event". I would have built it like a cypher. Half of it would require you running many parts of the CoT and solving puzzles in it to decode your half of the cypher, and the other half required the community as a whole to do a crap ton of runs decoding puzzles and doing events in CoT to decode the other half. Afterwards you'd have a cypher with the code to get to the end of it all when both halves are done. That way no matter what, players would have to do things in CoT to get the weapon done, plus had other rewards and things you'd get as you completed each puzzle and event as you progressed through. Ornaments, guns, ships, and other things you'd never get outside of this, and as a way to bring back ornaments/ships/guns/whatnot from D1 from this event only and then they're gone. But what do I know, this method wouldn't have earned streamers fat stacks.

  • That would be cool, but then it's a mess of how many runs does it take, how many people get bored running CoT. Would it STILL be a community event if people get bored of running CoT and streamers end up doing the most runs and unlocking something anyway? The Destiny community is difficult to please because either way someone is going to feel left out. Streamers would've had content either way so Gladd making a lot of money wouldn't have changed. Plus he's a good guy. I dont tell people how to spend their money and some people like spending it on Twitch.

  • I disagree. I chose to watch. I could've helped, I chose not to.

  • You couldn't have helped. Anything you could have done added was already solved by people five steps ahead of you.

  • I understand where you're coming from. John Doe who doesnt watch twitch or have a twitter had no idea anything was going on and could not help at all with what was supposed to be the best community event ever. I understand your criticism, but I think this is a step in the right direction from Niobe Labs. Seeing that improvement made me not criticize the event and more the reward, but I understand.
