Secret puzzle means secret reward.. makes sense nah?
So bungie even ruined the well known and respected secret puzzles over the years with this.. thing, not even the weapon deserves to be that kind of special thing.. it is just a kinetic fusion with less dps then most kinetic sniper/shotgun. What's the point of it?? Every previous secret puzzle weapon was a huge mark in destiny's history they were special with unique perks and new ways to deal dps.. there you go ty bungie you ruined another line of the game what's next?
EDIT: And Vex Mythoclast would made the most sense even the exotic perk of it called timeless mythoclast! What a miss bungie you played yourself if you put the mythoclast instead of bastion and you simply release bastion on 28th with the same quest as we had after the puzzle you would have easily made twice the money... i swear to god would buy skin for the mythoclast it's a legend

I mean, it was kinda obvious what weapon it was going to be tbh. At least for me it was. I do agree in the sense that it would’ve been better if Bastion never appeared on the roadmap and trailers or was leaked with data mines.

4 RepliesI’m afraid you all got played by yourselves, you let your own hype get out of control with dreams of ghorn, razelighter and now the mythoclast, choosing to ignore the reality. Content creators made some sweet money by generating hype and their community followed the pied piper all the way to the end. I’m afraid the blame lies with the community on this one. And to anyone who thinks I am a defender of bungie? It couldn’t be further from the truth.

Are you referring to the whisper quest? Or the zero hour quest? That both rewarded d1 weapons? Your post reeks of entitlement and a brat mentality. 1 ReplyTO BE FAIR: the quest was ruined by datamining. If the quest had NOT been datamined, then it would have been more of a surprise, and it would have worked as intended. I do agree, the reward could have been a bit more interesting... I mean hell [spoiler]WE FOUND OUR OWN GRAVE[/spoiler] so that is a perfect opportunity to bring back something from then... Like razelighter or darkdrinker or...yes, even the Mythoclast. It is a missed opportunity, I don't disagree, and I think Bastion's potential has yet to be discovered. I am going to withhold further judgement on that until later to see how bastion does, but so far it is not bad. Not game-breaking, but not bad.

A better pacing of the season pass would've been this quest was the way to free Saint 14 from the Infinite Forest. It makes more sense considering guardians are trying to figure out a map of how to get to the end.

24 RepliesIf the season pass said complete the corridors of time to unlock the bastion. I'd understand it. Then maybe it would've been completed closer to the 28th. .... But a massive puzzle like this with so much community effort. Deserved something more.

These things are all about the unknown and that's what drives people so hard to finish them, at risk to personal health sometimes. Finding out it was just the gun we already knew was coming, just a week early was not the kind of thing we expect from something of this magnitude. Big letdown!

If it was a reward that we DIDNT know about already, everyone would've said "oh wow cool, it was an actually secret exotic", not an exotic that we already knew was coming to the game in a week. They could've given us Dregs Promise from this quest and we would've been waaaay happier than we are now.

1 ReplyI jumped on last night to literally run through the doors and get the quest started. However, ran through symbol by symbol 3 times and got nothing. Turned out later 2 of my buddies I was running with hadn't completed the impossible task - despite me asking first! If they hadn't completed it and I had,would the quest still not progress for me? I will try again tonight solo to see if it works. Do u need to have done the 19 codes beforehand? Just thinking of ways why it wouldnt work. Cheers guardians.

Wasn’t a secret puzzle really, they gave us a damn quest for “explore the corridors of time” and it didn’t complete until you finished it. It’s stupid that they gave everyone an in game quest that required thousands of other people just to be able to complete It should’ve been a secret instead of a quest and it should’ve had a different reward than something already on the roadmap 🙄
