Bungie totally ruins IB again - thanks for “listening”
Yep, it’s IB time and Bungle drops a hot stinky one with the ever changing and worthless armor 2 quest for the season - the magical “get kills with weapons that you would never use” grind.
Oh, it’s all about “learning” and “growing” having to run up and die to get shotgun or scout rifle kills. But the BEST part boys and girls is that while your zone control and total kills are cumulative - you can’t “build up” credits for the weapon kills until the quest slides down the sewer.
So you are treated to having to the 10 rocket launcher kills after you have probably played 10-12 matches. How fun!
Yes Bungle, just spit in our face please after we complained about the ability kill bounty - now you put the worst garbage yet - you are dependent on special ( shotgun kills) and heavy ( rocket launcher) which we all know spawns like popcorn in matches ( Sarc is ON)
At least the grenade launcher kills ( the heavy of last season) could be done with alternate ammo types - but rockets? Fight for the spawn!
Yep - it’s not IB. It’s insane risks to get the kills time when you are not playing -you are chasing stupid quest requirements
If you had halved the weapon bounty totals or let them build as we played - I would have no issue - but this is middle finger to the players
So a hearty middle finger to the A-Team that dreamed this up. ( the team with the hole too - not the one that is good)

Gotten 9/10 kills but most times I'm ethers killed right as it comes up, or right after I get the ammo. The last match I got shoulder charged, survived somehow but got thrown off the map before I could pull the trigger and a few times id get the kill but it wouldn't count because cluster bombs apparently doesn't count ... so i had to switch to Worldcliff Edit: And I just got 3 kills with world cliff ... didn't count .... I'm getting so frustrated with this crap

1 ReplyI don’t think it could get any easier than shotgun and rocket launcher kills. Just play for a few hours and don’t think about the quests - you’ll get em done naturally. It’s 6v6 - play aggressive, frag out with a shotgun, control heavy, grab rockets, and push the enemy teams next spawn. One of the easiest loadouts ever - dust rock blues/lunas howl or NF/ truth. Any kinetic primary with a mindbenders. Multi kills with ward cliff coil.

Wait a minute. There isn’t even a triumph for games and kills in this seasons armor? All you get is a shader and an emblem? If I’d have know that I wouldn’t have bothered!!

3 RepliesThe quest design is fine. What you should really be complaining about is that this is the same armor for a THIRD TIME. I understand that there is a time and a place for reskins but this is getting ridiculous.

It's obvious that Bungie has stopped investing development time into IB. If this is what we get then just get rid of IB all together.

Honestly, Bungie is not listening to the player base again, I’m guessing probably by tomorrow, they will take down any constructive criticism post about IB burry their heads in the sand and pretend theirs no problem. Watch all of these post just suddenly get deleted.

Since content is hard to make, they have to create a boring, monotonous artificial grind to extract more playtime for better numbers.

If I don't get heavy 1st or 2nd spawn I just leave the match and re queue. Stupid quests = stupid behavior

Armor 2 is worthless? Umm buddy the mods are amazing. You can have +20 mobility on all Arc gear. We can now put into recovery and Intel and have high stats all around the board. What is this worthlessness you speak of. Not sure why everyone is complaining anyway. Why would you want the same gear for years..... if you want to use your old gear than use an upgrade module.

2 RepliesWhen I saw the notice that Saladin wanted to talk about new armor and weapons, I actually had hope. Then I noticed the 4 bounties and 1 quest and thought, "hmmm... this looks a lot like the last one. I think I'll wait and work on other stuff." Again, thanks for the heads up. And clearing 4 bounties out of my way. Seriously bungie, do you honestly think this is what the players want? You are wrong.

I completed this in like a hour and a half. I had to be a -blam!-en cheap -blam!- going invis and healing etc. And for the rpg kills i camped heavy with a shotgun. I wanted to get it over with just to get the gear, i stopped playing it cause no other new stuff was added so i did not feel a need to grind.

9 RepliesBack in destiny 1 iron banner there was a bounty that required coming in first place on your team. I can’t imagine the outrage if they still had that. I mean 10 ROCKET LAUNCHER kills and you kids are freaking out. My God why even have quest or bounties. They should just give everything away for free, Bungie welfare for everyone! Participation trophies! Don’t keep track of score!

Both shotguns and rocket launcher are literally brainless though. You can close your eyes with coil and you'll still be effective. The quests aren't hard.

4 RepliesRockets are a stupid idea but the other guns are fine - I'm happy that they're pushing other guns - I'm so over handcannons and snipers. They just need to learn to stop forcing us to compete with TEAMMATES. I don't know why they do that...
