some of you will say yes just to disagree 🙄
Jump puzzles or platforms suck.
This isn't Mario brothers.
You want kid games go get a Nintendo

Its trademark destiny, u cant get rid of them now. I don't love them but I don't dislike them. I have 8 completions on gos and still haven't beat the 1st jumping puzzle lol.
-
3 RepliesOne you do them a couple of times, they aren’t that bad. Except for KF, always go carried on Portico and the Wipe-Out wall before daughters

Edited by rZI3: 12/24/2019 6:42:49 PMThink there alright, some good laughs to them and you’d be wrong to say there aren’t. Are they annoying at times? Yes But overall your in a vast alien world, and some times the road ahead may mean you’d have to take a detour, to get to your objective... no? But you’d be wrong in calling them puzzles.... 😂😭

Love them
-
Yes absolutely. It's my best skill in Destiny is making the jumps my clanmates can't. It makes me feel good I guess. Plus it helps practice in general. I hope they never take away jumping puzzles and add more.
-
Jump puzzles/platforming encounters are okay, as long as there is a lore-based and/or environmental purpose for them to exist. Jump puzzles or really any type of encounter that exists merely to fill space is just lazy design and there are several examples of this in the existing raids.
-
I think they are fun to learn and do. Plus it’s great watching people fail and having fun. Oryx was great when you were the first one there and everyone else was failing.
-
nope.

Edited by FrosttheVII: 12/24/2019 6:40:08 PMI remember King's Fall Raid and the point where you're jumping through the Great Wall of Oryx d***s and being right behind a friend who jumped and he was THROWN across the chasm to smack into a wall. Jumping puzzles are not hard at all in this game and seeing that happen I just blew up in laughter for the next 5 minutes with tears rolling down my face. I love jump puzzles. They add difficulty. people want this game to be more and more of a cheese-mode game and it's frustrating.
-
I like watching you goobers fall off time and time again, especially when I cuase it.
-
I do not like jump puzzles Sam I am. I will not eat them in a pan.
-
Platforming is ok but it shouldn’t be the only puzzle.
-
A game with little to no variety yeah they are nice. Also calling them puzzles is questionable. Regardless, when you actually think about it the platforming isn't done well, and or is very simplistic.
-
1 ReplyYes I like them. Mainly when they have hive and vex design to them. Gives the game a bit of mystery which can lead to hidden locations within the game. Without the puzzles then you might aswell just play call of duty
-
Theres no puzzle aspect to them. Theyre just 'jumps' or platforming in gaming terms. Do i like it? Eh, its neither here nor there, jumps are just a route from a to b.
-
7 RepliesI'm not a fan of them. They are a little better on PC because of FOV, but -blam!- jumping puzzles in a game with RNG physics.
-
Yes but I am playing on pc have high fps + a good mouse keyboard. I imagine <30 fps + controller they are a lot harder to complete or do quickly, I am sure plenty of pc players dislike them as well.
-
4 RepliesThe whisper quest is still the best content that Bungie has created. I rate it above most raids aswell.

Edited by Kemaleon: 12/24/2019 5:45:54 PMI love them the first time. I like them the first few times. I like them the first time my friends fail/try. But as I said in the raids in Destiny 1, after the first 5 times we should be given the choice to skip them.

1 ReplyJumping puzzles are the best raid activity
-
2 RepliesYes. Not because i disagree with you. I just like them. Not with timers though.
-
Yes, me
-
If you weren't at the mercy of Destiny's physics engine half the time.

I actually do like the jumping puzzles (not simply saying this to disagree), but I will say that the clambering mechanic needs to be more consistent and intentional similar to how BL3's clambering works.
