FOMO is like a Gun to the Head.
Congrats Bungie, you’ve successfully held a Gun to my Head and making me buy Silver to finish out my Battle Pass. Hope you’re happy for Psychologically Manipulated me into doing this with your FOMO bullshit. Your new Seasonal System screws Collectors/Completionists and punishes Working Class Casuals who have chaotic lives who can’t play this Game like a Freeloader and/or Streamer. Games are suppose to be a HOBBY, not a FULL TIME JOB!! #AbolishFOMO #AbolishTimeGates.

You have 3 characters and you can get 5 easily levels per character a week. That’s 15 season pass levels each week in just a few hours . You had 12 weeks to get this done . It was easy even with full time commitments. Nobody forced you to pay for battle pass tiers . They gave you ample time that you didn’t use wisely . That’s on you not bungie .. just my 2 cents

1 ReplyI usually don’t put my personal experience up as a refutation of an argument but... Dude... I’m as casual as they come, and even I’m above 100 on the battle pass. Bungie can set the bar only so low for players to reach the max level on the pass. At some point maybe you just aren’t playing even the bare minimum of time it takes to reach 100. That’s not a Bungie problem, that’s just a result of how you choose to spend you’re time. And I’m not saying you’re wrong for that, but you can’t blame Bungie for how they set up rank progression when they’re making a pretty easy finish line to cross.

Disconnect your device from the internet and try to play Destiny. When I was gifted this job in Dec. of 2018 and worked for the weapons and armor I had just to have it taken from me when forced to move to Steam in Oct. of 2019. In Activision, friends are free and it cost to change your name. In Steam, you may have any racist or risque name you want free, change it as often as you like. But it's gonna cost you if 5 bucks if [u]YOU[/u] want to have a friend. I didn't want Shatter Heap after all the nerfs and cost of upgrade grind. But in order to play the now very damaged Foresaken I was forced to install Steam. I even felt the graphics went south on Steam. The ranks are not worth it. You're gonna lose them anyway. Unless you have had something physically mailed to you you didn't buy anything from Bungie but a waste of time. Put the game Destiny in your old device in 20 years and have a vintage game day... I completed season pass in 2 weeks, yeah i was playing 5hours+ a day, but dont tell me you couldnt make it in 3months

Buying it is on you tho it's your choice. Getting undying is probably one of the easiest titles to get for completionists. I dont have kids so that's probably an advantage vs my friends who do when grinding.

I feel ya, bro. I’ve been playing as much as I can and I just hit 95. Gonna try to grind out the last 5 ranks tomorrow since I’m off work. That pass has been such a boring grind.

4 RepliesI wonder how long before someone sues a company like Bungie for this sort of thing on the grounds that video game addiction is now a medically recognized mental disorder and they purposely use tactics to target people with disorders. Don't make assumptions about where I stand on the issue, I'm sure someone was in the process of doing that after reading my first line. I'm just throwing that out there, games already had to back off of loot boxes for underage gambling. It's not that far of a stretch to go somewhere like that next.

What? i'm level 290 and i play only 3 hours per day.. in 2 months and a dime you could have gotten way past level 100.. DO CONTRACTS, i can't say this loud enough.
