Congrats Bungie, you’ve successfully held a Gun to my Head and making me buy Silver to finish out my Battle Pass. Hope you’re happy for Psychologically Manipulated me into doing this with your FOMO bullshit. Your new Seasonal System screws Collectors/Completionists and punishes Working Class Casuals who have chaotic lives who can’t play this Game like a Freeloader and/or Streamer. Games are suppose to be a HOBBY, not a FULL TIME JOB!! #AbolishFOMO #AbolishTimeGates.

It’s a video game.... so what if you miss out on some stuff. The world isn’t going to end. Just play and play smart. Use ur time wisely. Get what you get. Don’t worry about the rest. I no lifed the hell outta D1. Where’s all that stuff now??? In a game left behind. Taught me a valuable lesson. Everything you earn in this game is going to be left behind and forgotten about.

The only ones to blame here, are your parents, for raising such a cry baby.

Edited by Quaddity: 12/9/2019 2:37:00 PMOnce they announced that FOMO BS it was an easy choice for me. Free track player. Not buying DLC not buying seasons. Played through 50 some levels of the artifact casually playing this season. Finished some weapon quests. Didn't feel like I missed out on anything. Honestly you might need some help if this game is causing you that much stress to buy silver.

1 ReplyEdited by Majin_Buu91: 12/9/2019 10:18:56 PMHahahahahahaha come on now, i work 50 hours a week, play 5 hours hockey a week and had the pass done 2 weeks ago... and i’m also playing other games... crying but maybe you’re playing the game wrong man... And you fit in right with todays society... blaming everything and everyone because of your life... Sure i can understand every story is different but if i see your reply’s i’m like yeah what does Bungie have to do with your life being ruff and busy, this blaming is pointless imho...
-
Bungie didn't make you do anything.. You acted on your own free will to make that purchase.. Youre accountable for your actions not bungie
-
I’m level 180. I only play 2 hours a day. Get gudder
-
Oh no, I didn't get the Hand Cannon ornament! Woe is me, I was only 3 ranks short!
-
The first step is to miss something, then it becomes a second thought over time

4 RepliesHow are people not at 100 anyway? I'm the world's most hopeless, most casual player and I'm at something like 116. Also what is the "Fear of Missing Out" anyway? From about 80 onwards it's all just dressing up stuff anyway. Nothing actually worth having to make your character more powerful in any way. So what does it matter whether you get those items or not? Unless you are some kind of serial horder or something of course - in which case the "fear" you have is something more psychological than physical !

Edited by Mickeman7: 12/10/2019 3:47:59 AMDude, it sounds like you need some serious self discipline while gaming or simply take a break or quit Destiny altogether. In some sense it's a great game but in another sense it seems like Bungie take advantage of gamers.

Lol what

2 RepliesDon't blame other people for not having enough time to do something on a video game because your pull out game is weak, or you have to kiss your boss's ass for that Christmas bonus. Harsh Truths.
-
Yes its a gun to the head if that gun were soft and made of play dough....
-
You probably won't even use most of the items anyway. Please don't sink your money needlessly into ranks ever again.

1 ReplyWhat's FOMO
-
You certainly did not have to buy it but now you e just showed them that it works. Did you but all the Eververse items also?
-
No one is forcing you to do anything, relax.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 12/10/2019 12:22:21 AMIt’s a pretty bad method to get people to play as opposed to just, you know..... making engaging content with high replay value in the first place. I didn’t think they could find a way to make the game and fanbase more divisive and yet..... here we are. Destiny has to hold the record for a game not knowing what it is or wants to be for this long. It tries to be too many things at once and goes through too many changes too frequently. If it could have been what they said it was going to originally be from the beginning and they didn’t turn it into this rigid, impractical, cyclical model with reusing assets and now time gating, I can only imagine what we’d be paying right now. Luckily the $10 price tag is reasonable enough even if one does miss some content in a season. Not really worried about the money as much as I am the experience though. It’s hard to play the game not constantly be reminded of what it COULD be.

Bungie isn't forcing you to do anything. You made a decision, and just don't want to own it.
-
I only got to rank 60 and I have no wish to buy silver.....I guess I also had no wish to play more then just my weekly dust bounties otherwise I'd have gotten to 100.
-
I think sensible adults can perfectly control themselves from it. Children and those who are suseptible to impulse buying are definitely more prone to the monetezation and I definitely see the point of view of Bungie exploiting those types being unethical.

7 RepliesThe answer is simple, LEARN SOME BLOODY SELF CONTROL. I’m so sick of seeing this weak excuse for lack of self control, kids/people have been missing out for ever, you can’t have everything in life.

7 RepliesAnybody who spends money on "silver" is a special kind of stupid.

2 RepliesI got to 330 with a part time job, classes and internship

6 RepliesEdited by Pentimal: 12/9/2019 7:57:15 PM1. If you feel the NEED to obtain literally everything and spend money, you have a problem. Not everyone can or will obtain everything, in games or in life. Learn some self-control. Deal with it. Its reality. 2. Destiny is a game built upon the idea of a Grind. Its also been classified as an MMO now, which also means grind. You signed up for this when you started playing. Stop whining. 3. I'm a college student in my senior year, and I have a work study job. It may not be "as much" as you, but I still lead a busy life. Gaming for me is a hobby, but I manage to put aside time to play this game. If YOU can't, and get "Forced" to pay for a season rank, then you need to re-evaluate a few things. 4. FOMO is not the problem here considering you had more than enough time to play and get to rank 100. 2 1/2-3 months is way more than enough if you pick up bounties and do them casually as you play. 5. As mentioned before, Destiny 2 is now classified as an MMO. A long Grind is attached to that genre. Perhaps Destiny is not the game for you if you can't put aside time to play.

No one is holding a gun to your head except yourself. You don't NEED everything from the Season Pass. If you played the game casually throughout the season, you could easily hit 100, but you stopped playing for the better part of 5 weeks (half the season) and expect the game to cater to you? Seriously, grow up. I'm not a Freeloader. I'm not a Streamer. I work a full time job. I got everything done this season with no issue. Granted I play more than the average Joe, the game should not be catered to people like you given the amount of time you played this Season. Also, you say you are a "Collector/Completionist" yet you are barely either of those. You have 55k triumph score and 2300 items collected (out of about 4000). Of the items collected, you only have 78/210 Universal Ornaments (15 of which you just paid for buying Season Ranks). Not everyone is going to get everything in the game, especially casual players, it is simply a fact of life.
