As a PvP main i cant masterwork my armour without playing PVE
Please give PVPers a way to earn ascendant shards and prisms without forcing us into PVE

It will never work. Give it up. Dozens of PVP games out there that cater to what you want with far better balance and populations.

This is a very legitimate request. Ascendant shards should drop from more than one place. I am mostly PvE and definitely understand this.

Can’t you just get your light up and farm a couple Master Ordeals? Doesn’t take that long nor that much effort tbh. Not tryna be toxic. Also Run some Pit of heresy for that free masterworked gear at the end. Dismantle it for free Enhancment cores and a chance of Prisms on dismantle until they make a way for Crucible/Gambit to reward those items.

We don't have any ranking system. Most of your weapons and gear come from PVE activities. You don't have any pennical weapons anymore, just whatever meta Bungie decides to not nerf for the time being. You literally get nothing special for being the best or the worse in PVP modes. In PVP you are literally at the hands of the server chosen, be it being you or another player and then it all depends on that servers lag. I enjoy PVP games, I love COD, Battlefield, and many others. I just can't see anyone taking this kind of PVP serious. Like why? There is nothing you can gain from PVP. Now if the day ever comes and Bungie completely separates PVP from PVE. Then it might be good. Different gear and weapons that can each be tuned for specific play types. But they still have to create a ranking system. In Destiny 1 they used to have a sales pitch for the game. "Become legend", people learned really quick that in Destiny? There is no such thing as legend, or better ,or even great. You are and will always be just a guardian. Nothing more and nothing less.

4 RepliesI completely agree I don’t play PVP personally, but there is no reason why avenues for the acquisition of materials (and exotic quest steps) should not exist in both PVE and PVP. Allowing people to play the game how they want is not a bad thing.
