Why in the hell is the obsidian crystal not being refunded?
Because honestly a lot of players put so many hours into grinding for it and Bungie has essentially just gave them the big finger. The keys have been given but the crystal hasn’t, like, what the hell bungie?! I honestly think about giving up because of things like this and I’m pretty sure many people share this feeling

Bungie should have just auto-completed that step for all players who were affected. 6 weeks of bullshit only for them to basically say "yeah suck our balls, wait for a new bounty"

1 ReplyThe rare bounties really aren’t that rare. I just finished one for the quest and got another in less than a day. I think they made a change to how rare the rare bounties drop.

I’ve always thought the rare bounty requirement was bs from the get go. Thank goodness a clanmate who told me to save a rare bounty for until I was on that step. I feel for you guys that are having to go thru the new light version of the quest

All Bungie has to do is give the rare bounty after completing the 7 bounty weekly I’m good with that instead I’ve been doing 15 bounties a day with the 3 characters for 2 weeks after I took all the time to get one from b4 do it and not count. I don’t mind doing it but the rng for the bounty has to go.

14 RepliesI ended up keeping my rare bounty until yesterday after the update went live and the patch notes got released. I turned it in and I didn’t get my obsidian crystal so now I have to play the rng game everyday to get another one.

I understand why refunding it would be an issue...HOWEVER I do not see any issue with changing an integer in the coding to INCREASE the bloody drop rate on this RNG bounty as a form of compensation. Two days doing all the daily and weekly bounties on 3 characters and nothing...thats 36 bounties? There is literally no point locking OLD content behind RNG that terrible when everything else is simply a quest or get it from Xur...if it was "just an exotic" and not the DPS king in this sandbox the RNG would be ok...also had I been able to obtain it at some point in all the wasted hours since shadowkeep launch I would also not mind so much...at this point it is quite absurd.

1 ReplyBecause it would be an insult to everyone who was hit by a bug in the past and didn't have anything done about it. The only fair thing to do is continue the way it always has been, they fix the bug and that's it. The current crowd isn't the first to have a bug affect them and won't be the last either. It sucks, it's been weeks and I've been on enough raids with LFG people who didn't have Mr Myagi's gun to wish it had been fixed faster. But it is what it is, Bungie isn't going to take the time to go through backlogs and use dozens of man-hours to change things. If they can even track it at all.

2 RepliesI feel you but tbh there indont think there is a way for them to track who was affected by the bug. So they would basically have to give everyone the progress and make the quest trivial for people who hadnt done it

I'm still on the first part, goes like this.... Pick up the box quest, run a forge, max temper, get key, use key, box still shows 0/4. I've tried all 4 forges, all 4 keys, on all 3 characters, nothing works. Jotunn n lemonarc quests bugged too, and sleeper, but hey, it's all free right

1 ReplyThat's because you know it's similar to if you accidentally deleted your character bungee cannot bring it back. same thing if you accidentally used a consumable they cannot bring it back you have to reacquire it. It's just the way the game is designed.

Probably some technical issue that prevents them to identify who already used it before the patch. Doesn't make sense to retroactively do it for the keys and not for the crystal.

Or at least make it so that if you infuse it into another item it gets the highest level of both items. So it doesn't matter if you infuse a lvl 1 into a lvl 10 item or a lvl 10 into a lvl 1 item the end result will be level 10 item.
