It sucks whatever it's at I need like 90 to 110 please
-
Yes I would like it but it can’t happen with current gen consoles for this game. It’s too cpu heavy with its particle effects and physics engine. Also they need to keep mk1 PS4 and the pro running in sync.
-
2 Repliesdude, any more fov will crash your console. not going to happen. there's a reason it is set where it is. the larger the fov the more rendering your console has to deal with, it struggles greatly already.
-
Yes. I fully endorse this post. Console needs fov sliders

52 RepliesEdited by Torrential: 10/29/2019 5:10:46 AMedit: In the simplest of terms, it is very possible for the fov to be increased or have a slider. It is not impossible in the slightest, which is a fact. Saying it cannot happen is false. And it’s already been talked about over at the bungie studio, confirmed by help staff on the app. Will it happen? Who knows. Can it happen? Absolutely. So all 40 something of you that have useless and irrelevant replies saying nothing more than “iT cANT hAndLe iT iM riGhT”, pipe all the way down and go wash your swollen sausage fingers. Thank you (:

36 RepliesI will never buy PC because of the amount of nerds/virgins is so annoying
-
4 RepliesNot gonna happen, a ps4 pro could handle an fov but a regular ps4 cant. Fov slows down performance on console and destiny already runs at 30fps, having an fov slider could potentially mess that performance up with stutters and annoying fps drops that could also lead to the game crashing. If you really want an fov slider then get yourself a pc, a slider will never be available to the current consoles. Maybe if destiny 3 decides to come out on the ps5 then bungie might actually add a slider and cross play support

1 ReplyI made the exact same post only mine did not go viral
-
2 RepliesThat'll be $20 please.
-
5 RepliesAfter playing Apex and BL3, this game feels really slow.
-
Maybe on ps5 but have you seen the 5 fps in the garden of salvation raid, the ps4 just can't handle it
-
I agree but they need to optimise the frame rate first. Which is something I honestly find bizarre, since there's far better looking games that run at 60.
-
7 Repliesas somebody whos done garden on PC and Xbox, i can tell you now. The xbox cant handle whats on screen right now as it is. the FPS literally dips to 15 at certain moments in the final battle. Trying to cram more carnage into your view with how it runs now would crash your console or drop you to single digit FPS. It will never work because the consoles cannot handle it. Trying to run a modern DLC game on a 6 year old console will not work

1 Replychalesmafia You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but,Some creatures of the Hive strain against the Will of Oryx. Alak-Hul the Darkblade is one such. Long ago he fomented rebellion against the King and attempted to take his mantle. Alak-Hul failed and now awaits the “mercy” of the Hive. Given the chance the Darkblade will step in to take Oryx’s crown. We must not allow another prince to rise.
-
Yes please!!! N for all of you saying no, it's optional it's not gonna be the same fov for everyone
-
Im sorry? You'd like even less frames? Sure.
-
Dude, I can feel the frame rate drop with what you’re asking. Consoles can hardly hold at 30fps as it is
-
Not happening. Consoles already struggle to keep a constant 30 FPS when there's lots of stuff happening on screen, widening the FoV is only going to make that worse. As other people are saying, performance during the Sanctified Mind encounter is awful; black voids appearing everywhere, platforms not registering fully if they've been stolen/reclaimed, I've had several times where the game comes to a standstill and then when it resumes, 8 Goblins teleport to the confluxes and we can't kill them because the Enlightened timer kept going. https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/ev1ldragonfly/video/80527734 This clip encompasses all of those issues.
-
NOW people agree to this?...wtf I been asking for this ever since the launch of destiny 2. All people kept saying is it would be hard for bungie to do or talked trash. This community man.
-
3 RepliesNope, if anything we need to remove the option to change sensitivity.
-
3 RepliesUnfortunately, that's not possible. Well, it is but it's so taxing on the console's hardware if you wanted your FOV at 80 or higher, you would have to downgrade the graphics, FPS or any other visual graphic. Cool idea, nice that it's getting a lot of attention but as of currently, it's not possible.
-
FoV is a real issue on consoles, everything is so zoomed in that you often not see the enemy in front of your face.

Edited by ZeroSix: 10/25/2019 7:57:00 PMPS4 Pro and the One X both cannot do increased FOV at 1080p. Maybe they could raise the FOV from 72 to 80 or 85 at the 30 fps cap, but the base consoles can't. They barely run the game at acceptable levels as is. Even Vsync locked to 30 fps, fps drops still occur in CPU intensive locations like the Tower, Trostland, and Titan. It is a question of raw CPU power, and not GPU in this circumstance. The CPUs in both of those consoles are weaker than core i5s from the 4th generation. They are supremely bottlenecked. Unfortunately this will likely not change until the new generation of consoles based on Zen 2 architecture become the norm. When they release, they will likely be able to push 100+ frames at low settings, 1080p, and 105 fov. Alternatively they could probably do full settings at 80 fps, 105 fov, at 1080p. Once you start pushing resolution you will start to see settings, fov, or frame loss. They should just make the new consoles use the PC client, as that would allow players on them to choose the settings they prefer.

7 RepliesI'm going to sound real ignorant and dumb......but what is a FOV slider?
-
I support any change to console getting better. After moving to PC it's such a better game on that platform it's not even funny. i recommend it to everyone for all games. It's more accessible than you think.

14 RepliesFirst of all I’d like to ask everybody saying “Well other games can do it so destiny can too!” to please stop. Those other games aren’t destiny, they aren’t as graphically demanding as destiny, they don’t have the same engine as destiny, and they may be better optimized than destiny. Stop pretending that just because another game can do it fine means that destiny can also have a fov slider just fine. Alright, you understand? Good. I don’t know what the default fov on console is, but I’m gonna guess it’s around 70-80, on my pc (which is far better than consoles) if I go from 75 fov to 110 I lose around 15-30 fps depending on the activity. This isn’t much of a problem for me because I play destiny at 140+ fps, however for consoles you’re stuck at 30, meaning that increasing the fov to high values, which requires the game to have more things loaded on the screen at any given time, would likely result in unplayable levels of fps.

20 RepliesYour little console cant handle that sorry bud.
