I am SICK TO DEATH of being told how to play/what gear to use.
I play middle-tree Striker Titan, I use Bygones, IKELOS shotgun and Thunderlord. I run Year-One Iron Banner armor with the Armamentarium.
That's what I LIKE!
I DON'T WANT TO USE SMGs AND FUSION RIFLES.

And you people have the AUDACITY TO LOCK IRON BANNER ENGRAMS BEHIND QUEST STEPS WHICH FORCE ME TO USE CRAP THAT I DON'T LIKE/WANT.
This shit's getting old. No, this shit got old over a year ago.
It's gonna be a beautiful blamming day when you stop catering EXCLUSIVELY to the vocal minority of players who want everything to be a long, drawn-out tedious mind-numbing grindfest.
Jeesus H Christ, I already work for a living. I play video games to ESCAPE work. This shit's a chore.

To be fair you only need 20 fusion rifle kills and 15 smg kills. It’s much faster than the last seasons quest to get the armour which was bs. The thing that drove me crazy was getting super kills, the games never lasted long enough to fill my super and I just don’t use supers in pvp since it’s a no skill crutch

I haven't had time to grind my light level so im not even thinking about going in to iron banner... The weapons i want to be able to use DON'T EVEN EXSIST! I love this game but i need some new weapons

4 RepliesIf your issue with getting the same weapons as rewards that’s fair. However I personally like the quests making certain weapons necessary for them to shift the meta a bit.

6 RepliesYou are not being told how to play. Holy mother of mary stop crying. Its a literally quest, you dont have to do it, but if you want the rewards you will do what is asked. It's like complaining you don't want to do puzzles in a raid but still want the raid guns? Are you okay??? Literally every game in existence does this to some degree. Please stop making a non-issue into an issue.

Don’t have the recluse. Then use the foggy notion. You will beat someone with a recluse if it’s not procked. Foggy stat wise is the best smg in the game. Find it in your collections. Any pulse will do. And a play of the game or edge transit will do. Grab heavy twice a match jump in the air and hip fire it. Simple right? Now stop whining. Lol

9 RepliesI don’t have recluse so you can only imagine how frustrated I was doing the submachine gun steps, fortunately I found the antiope D and that baby is still extremely powerful. Anyone that doesn’t have recluse or really sucks at using smg’s like me, pick up the antiope D and get those kills.

I’m right there with ya man. I just got Monte Carlo and farmed a ton of shadowkeep weapons so I absolutely could not be bothered to use guns I’ve been using for about a full year now. The quest portion of iron banner takes away from what it originally meant to do.

I could understand a requirement to use SMGs in a quest to get a pinnacle or exotic SMG. However using a SMG has absolutely nothing to do with Iron Banner armour so the requirements are misplaced.

You do make a good point. However, as you a get to the point where you need to use a Fusion, SMG, or GL, you get a decently rolled Fusion, SMG, and GL to complete those steps. It’s not an insane number of kills, and really won’t take that much time to complete.

I was super happy that the bounties are so I specific and then I realized that everything is locked behind the quest chain. Weak... Third one is an invitation to get smacked by recluse ( which is another topic)...

My thought exactly but if I could add some constructive criticism. Do you think adult films have script writers? Maybe there's someone behind the camera holding cue cards to help the actors out just in case they forget their line because they're distracted by something else. Or Maybe they just do improvisation.

So if all you use is that gear you mentioned, why bother going for iron banner gear? I think that encouraging the player to use different weapons and abilities is a good thing. It’s interesting to shake things up. There are dozens of different weapon archetypes and 18 supers, it can’t hurt to use a new one here or there.

6 RepliesSo there here is a rational thought: Don't Play This Game, Find Something Else To Do With Your Time - for example: Read A Book. When reading maybe you will find a different game that caters to your playstyle and what YOU want.
