Gear Drops Maxed at Power Level 750
Hi,
I am new to Destiny 2 and am experiencing what I believe to be a issue/bug. I started a fresh character at Steam launch. Everything was fine until I started the first story. Then all my drops where capped at power level 750. Tried multiple events, more story, and shadowkeeps story but all gear dropped is power level 750. I saw a post on Reddit with someone else having the same issue but nothing seems to be working. They suggested to the other person to start another character. I just want to know before I through the time spent on this one away, if there is anything I can do to fix it.

I don't know if that is intentional, or a glitch, but that is what causes a player to only get 750 drops. Based on what you have equipped right now it is the kinetic weapon (primary) that is causing your drops to be locked at 750.
