A Lousiana steel company went out of business, didn't tell employees until day of closure

Sheesh not only does it suck 376 people lost their job but from what I've read it seems like the company didn't tell the employees until the day they closed. To make it worse
Governor John Bel Edwards and other officials have blamed the mill's closure on the effects of tariff increases on metals as a result of President Donald Trump's trade policies.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/bayou-steel-group-has-officially-filed-for-bankruptcy-report-says/ar-AAI8wGE

 • Seems logical, the company has been around for a long time, then suddenly closes. The government previously provided an emergency subsidy to steel industry to offset effects of tariffs; however, smaller companies like this one are still struggling.
