Why no one even bothered to announce Season Passes becoming account-bound?
Why don't we get any announcements whatsoever about such a major change in how those "Season Passes" work, compared to all other DLCs since D1 and, more importantly, the "Annual Pass" from Forsaken?
Passes are now account-bound, and not system-bound. That means that my wife doesn't have access to them, despite we use one PS4 (all games are purchased on my account). Nevermind the premium track, but Vex Offensive and other seasonal events - that's major bummer. You might say "Shadowkeep is available for all accounts, what do you want?". Yes, it's available. But compare that to Y2: I've purchased Forsaken and Annual Pass => main campaign and all "seasons" were enabled to my wife (as she is basically the only destiny player on our PS4) and me. And suddenly 4 Season Passes from Y3 are totally different from Y2's Annual Pass. This 4SP =/= AP is clearly unexpected - if you change how things work, then change the name as well.
This change was not communicated at all! And that's a much bigger issue on Bungie side, given all the ViDocs, TWABs and those humongous Director's Cuts. There was a lot of guides on "how to activate Cross-Save and not screw up", a lot of info about new content, new armor, bungie's intentions and plans about the game. About this - not a single word. How come? Really makes you think. Is "Destiny goes F2P" and "New Light" just a deliberate scam? If someone at Bungie would be so kind to explain this stuff, I'd just bought that deluxe edition from wife's account and there will be no problem at all, cos I don't play that much for seasons to matter.
I've purchased them not for the silver, but through PS Store pre-order, so don't tell me it was an "in-game" purchase, because it's not.

8 RepliesYeah my brother and I have always shared games on our PS4 and I got all the preorder stuff, can access the moon and my season pass is locked. It even treats me like I’ve never played Destiny before and said it unlocked all the locations when the game initially loaded. [u][b]What The Frapaccino!!![/b][/u] Bungie seriously we bought the bloody pass every freaking year and you do this crap now. Talk about false advertising. This is low even for you. If you could see my dissatisfaction and disappointment you would be catatonic. I know I’m not the only one saying this... give us what we paid for! And if you are going to do a drastic change tell us.... use words. That’s what grownups do. It’s called COMMUNICATION!!! And mutual respect of your player base... you know your income!

2 RepliesYes, it was totally unethical on Bungie's part to not inform everyone before the release. Forsaken annual pass was shareable and when they changed it, they should have informed people. Doesn't even take any effort, just a line of text.

Season passes can be bought on either a master account or a sub account (subject to content age ratings).[/quote] So what do we know now? - It's added to your download list/library - It's available through the PlayStation Store - They can be purchased through a Master (Adult Family Member) account It's clear that Bungie's "Season Pass" does not match the description of an already established Season Pass. Therefore, Bungie has been deceptive and misleading.

They pulled SNEAKY because they are just getting worse and worse ......They changed the Season Pass from a Console store purchase , which is covered by Xbox and Play Stations shared content set up I.e. gameshare for Xbox . So they can circumvent that and charge everyone for the season pass like the trolls they are .... by putting it into their in game store for Silver lmao But hey fanboys Bungle cares about you so hurry up come defend the little liars . Oh it’s because of account migration lol

3 RepliesIn order for cross save to function properly it had to become account bound. This had nothing to do with greed. You should be able to buy a season pass from eververse for $19. I’m not sure if it’s available yet. The information was out there a while back, you must have missed it.

We are unable to play with all the accounts on the same console...

Dear Bungee - I bought your game at PPStore in the description is written - the game contains 4 seasonal passes (deluxe), you have been operating on the console market for a long time and you are well aware that I, as a consumer, have the right to share the game with a related account (which is probably included in its prices) The game I bought does not work fully on my second account, it's a misleading consumer, I don't know about you in the US but in the EU it is forbidden. It is not important how the rights are transferred, it's your business - you can even tie it to a neighbor's dog - I demand for what I paid no less, no more (description on PSStore)

4 RepliesWhy would anyone have to? Different accounts, even on the same console, have different character sets in D2, and the Season Pass is for 1 character set only. I figured common sense would tell people they'd have to buy a season pass for each.
