So correct me if I’m wrong, but a lot of recent quests and gear have become massive unnecessary grinds. A lot of them are just kill 5,000 dudes, collect an infinite amount of rocks, find whatshisface the infinite, and do a slightly revised mission. Back in destiny 1, most quests had a bit of variety to them. They weren’t mind-numbingly boring. It would be nice to bring back the exotic quests where you had to go to new areas and complete unique objectives.

3 RepliesIt took 7 months for Bungie to create the quest for Outbreak Perfected. I really don't think they can keep the game jam packed with a lot of fresh content. If the story of D1s development is to be believed, all that stuff was already to go, then cut up to be sold in pieces later.

4 RepliesMy biggest problem is the extreme nerfing lately. I grind out quests and pinnacle weapons so they'll be good and effective then they are nerfed. Then weapons tied to raid exotics if you aren't lucky enough to get them early then by the time your luck comes around they've already made them garbage. Doesn't leave any incentive come shadowkeep to play much more than the general offering.

1 ReplyEdited by Pocket Fox: 9/30/2019 8:09:03 AMJumping puzzles, complicated path memorization, and timers. All at the same time. I will happily kill 5,000 dudes, collect rocks, and do revised missions instead of subjecting myself to that form of digitalized cancer.

1 ReplyI raise you the exotic sword quests.

3 RepliesIf you can't or wont grind 8 hours a day for days, weeks, or months on end for the gear you want then you don't deserve that gear. If the streamers and youtubers can do it, what's your excuse? ... Wait... that doesn't sound right... >. >

2 RepliesHonestly, I used to absolutely adore spending hours in the Cosmodrome doing patrols, grinding for spinmetal and collecting a lot of Vanguard and New Monarchy XP. Now that there's no such thing as Faction XP, doing patrols is essentially pointless.

A long time ago.

But finding Whatshisface The Infinite is the whole point of he grind Nah but fr i dont bother me as much since it keeps me occupied on things to do :)

Unique objectives in d1 LMAO!!! I remember having to collect hundreds of materials for the exotic swords. Without the material trackers.

That's why is called grinding.

1 ReplyWell, it's called grinding because it's a grind. Otherwise it would be called questing or funning.

1 ReplyWhich D1 quests were mindless?
-
Yes they were.... Especially in any RPG... once you've done it before, you see patterns. Take the rose tinted glasses off and really take a look.

Honestly I’m hunting down one more gambit weapon and I might be done with the grind, except it doesn’t drop from menagerie and drops as often as pre buff prime drops. Fml

4 RepliesAgreed. Why I decided to go after Wendigo, I’ll never know. Should’ve learned my lesson after Loaded Question.
