So... what will be the point of playing competitive at all in season of the undying?
Edit*
Added my reactions to TWABs below.
Bungie- “we have reworked the competitive playlist so that it is more accommodating to solo players and removed all of the unpopular game types”
Me- “YES... FINALLY!”
Bungie- “ we have removed any incentive at all to play our newly overhauled and solo player accommodating competitive playlist if you played last year and have all of that pinnacle weapons already”
Me- “face palm”

1 ReplyLmao you boosted comp as recently as the 3rd and you ask for a point? You are the reason there are none
-
3 Repliesi play Comp. because i like the modes and teamwork. 🤷🏽♂️

Edited by BoogaSuga: 9/27/2019 3:49:18 PMFACTS To use the argument that " the PvP pinnacle required people to play PvP and it was strong in PvE " is a scapegoat for not fixing your busted ass game for the past year. Also, a scapegoat for not making meaningful PvE content, lore, story, and weapons for the past year. It is not either sides fault that Bungie hardcore dropped the ball on this one.

2 RepliesI never play Comp. But I love B'Neck, Loaded Q & Wendigo. And the Gambit LMG.. can't member the name.. Point is, nice unique weapons that a pve centric player can grind for or jus passively earn. So, once again, a PvP aspect directly affects my pve experience.. not mad, but a teeny bit sad 😢😝

Edited by Jonny_ Reggae: 9/27/2019 3:40:32 PMThey should of just made it were you don't lose any points for losing so you just stay were you are, then you will make 2100 points eventually but it will just take you longer. and with the solo playlist. It should be easier anyway to get there, I think removing it completely is dumb and I hardly play crucible

I will miss the grind for the pinnacle weapons. Some of the best journey's I have this season.

2 RepliesEdited by Beagler: 9/27/2019 11:41:33 AMComp is fun but not having a pinnacle weapon means the player base will be less and comp will be more competitive in general. I personally think it is better to have a wider player base.

If you guys understood anything they arenot getting rid of your recluse just nerfing it. And if you got luna your fine you get to keep it all just no more getting them through comp after patch they have something else in store for comp you will see... It will tickle your fancy.

1 ReplyFor this new armor 2.0 armor Or a go at that not forgotten I guess. Until we get our hand on these new guns we won’t know if it’s worth the grind or not.
-
Can i still grind for not forgotten.
-
2 RepliesRandy's Throwing Knife
-
1 ReplyThey messing up, plain and simple, imo.
-
Tbh thank god for me and me only. I have all the pinnacle quests ever since the game started and haven’t completed any. All just sitting in my pursuits tab
-
I think that the people who enjoy competitive PvP will still go to comp. I also think that the number of people who enjoy competitive PvP is very low. So we'll see how this works out. I could easily see them getting rid of this in a few months because nobody is playing.

5 RepliesI need 1 or 2 double kills with a grenade launcher. So if I doesn't finish it before Oct. 1st I won't get it?
-
I think it was good because it was bound to get out of control so they stopped early the only reason I have to play comp now is unbroken and that’ll never happen and that’s ok
-
Strangely, I feel that removing pinnacles from comp was a good move. The lack of incentive works both ways, as there's much less of a reason for carries to be a thing and people don't have to sweat buckets in lower ranks. There will still be competition, but it's more natural rather than forced because shiny rewards. It's not the best way of looking at it of course, but now comp is more of a "play for fun" rather than "grind, grind, grind, reward? Grind, Grind, grind..." and so on. I do still think there should be some kind of reward for playing comp, but something that discourages carrying/cheating while promoting a healthy playstyle. Whatever that is idk, I'm not too knowledgeable on what PvP needs beyond dedicated servers and ammo reworks. All I can say is that removing pinnacles was ultimately a smart move, but there should be some equally smart, and fun, compensation.

There will still be a pinnacle type weapon, just called a ritual weapon, and it won’t have unique perks. It will still be a unique weapon, with a good curated roll
-
Just like trials being taken out, blame the people who paid for carries and the people doing the paid carries bungie had to take out pinnacle weapons.
-
2 RepliesSo will be no way to earn Recluse after this?
-
1 ReplyWell maybe to play just for fun i guess. If the OP pinnacle weapons are your only reason to play the modе so you can afterwards bully the rest of the less skilled players that is not something for you to be proud about... In any case you still will be able to get NF with the new rules which is great reason to play i guess.

6 RepliesI still want unbroken... even if it has lost all value... its the last title I need so i'm going to try in comp and get another legend rank next season. Thats why I want to, other people who have pinnacles and don't chase titles are probably done with comp.
-
For fun, probably new armor. We dont know what kind of roll the new scout will have or how to get it. They said they want to tone down the power creep, and don't want to force new people into comp just to get the most obnoxiously overpowered meta loadouts. That would be like throwing sheep into a wolves pack. Doubt it's gonna tackle paid carries, other pinnacle guns are still gonna be available
-
There will be something. You will play it. Don't be frontin' (snap snap head wiggle)
-
2 RepliesComp is going to be so sweaty with nobody playing anymore.

7 RepliesWell there is solo que for people who haven't got all of their comp weapons and with the new system those people may be able to actually GET to those weapons and obtain them, Is comp for high skilled Players ? Yes of course it is, but now these players who want to get the old pinnacle weapons done can actually do so, another thing is we do not know what Bungie considers a Fabled or even Legend teir player. Plus the fact that you can no long fall under a glory rank once you reach it means that paid carries will ultimately be snuffed out, or just much harder to do. The solo que however is where most of the grinding may take place, as to avoid 4 stacks. So those of us who a still working on the mountaintop or recluse or luna's or even the not forgotten will have a better chance of obtaining those weapons, hence why some are being nerfed such as recluses master of arms perk. These changes may not have a point for YOU, but for others they most certainly do.
