Please change the grenade launcher meta in some way
As gladd said in one of his recent tweets, it's no fun melting an immobile boss with your entire team using the same thing, standing in the same well.
Possible fix: either make the other weapon types more viable, or nerf grenade launchers.
Besides that, really excited for shadowkeep. I know you guys won't disappoint.

Cluster rockets. Rat king. Gjallerhorn. Icebreaker. Touch of malice. It was always fine with whatever weapon was used....and now all of a sudden it is bad? We call those people hypocrites.

I agree. Everyone keeps calling Datto a neckbeard elistist because he wants well nerfed when he is explaining that well is a crutch and that one phasing a raid boss is the normal. Thats why raiding is garbage. Day one it will be hard but after that we will go back to 1 cycling.

[/quote] How has that been any different from the rest of Y2? Or even all of Y1? Or even back to D1 when we used Bubble instead of Well? There’s always a strongest gun. That’s just the way it is.

You don’t want to use Grenade Launchers? Then don’t. You don’t want to use Well? Then don’t. Make your own group with those things in mind.

I mean, you don't have to use GL. You could use other things. Don't know why people "have" to 1 phase a boss all the time, especially when most of these streamers are stacked to the teeth with the "best" pve players in the game. Like, is it really gonna kill y'all to ise other guns once in awhile? lol That aside, when they nerf GL what's next. I mean you can 1 phase just about every boss with Outbreak Prime too. Gonna neft that as well? Might as well nerf everything in the game since you can 1 phase Calus with literally every single gun including the default starter, Traveler's Chosen sidearm. lol

Another possible fix would be using something else. No one logs on to your account with you and forces you to play a certain way do they?

So before it was stand in well and your entire team melts with whisper. And before it was stand in well and all use sleeper. Stand in rift and all shoot EP shotgun. Stand in rift with barricade and all shoot cluster bomb rocket launchers. Nerf grenade launchers, sure. You will still end up standing in a well and shooting the next best gun with your whole team

They've been nothing but complete and utter garbage since they were introduced and really the only thing making them so stupid is the amount of additional buffs we stack on top. The 150s melt everything but the 140s and the single shots besides mountaintop pretty much suck and the only thing those weapons are good at is boss damage. They are pretty crap for ad clear as the ammo efficiency and amount you get per drop kinda suck. Nerfing spike grenades would also be a bad idea because the other perks grenade launchers get in that slot are terrible. They nerfed proximity grenade so you won't be using that. Sticky grenade sucks. Controlled detonation sucks. The other perks that just grant awful stats like high ordinance sucks. Grenade launchers are pretty much still crap they just excel at killing a boss that doesn't move. Which could also be melted by outbreak, in which should also get a nerf since the same capabilities apply to it and it's a primary.
