I'm soooo sick of Dust Rock Blues+Not Forgotten+Wardcliff Coil loadouts.
Can we please mix things up? People complain about Erentil all day but fail to see the true problems in this game. Every time I look at a sweaty player's loadout. DRB + WC + NF. EVERY...SINGLE....TIME. I'm not asking for nerfs, I'm begging the community to try something new. I wanna puke every time I see 20K kills on a NF or 10K kills on a DRB. The heavy weapon meta needs to change. Nothing but free team wipe wardcliff coil.
Edit: playing on console. I realize not a problem on pc
Edit 2: This is not about my ability to play the game. I already have ways to counter the meta loadouts. I get hate mail after every game. It's a good feeling knowing how to counter it. My point is the crucible is getting stale. We have a giant sandbox and yet people only want to play in one tiny corner of it. There are other viable options. The crucible should be overflowing with variety. Hopefully shadowkeep can incentivize players to try new loadouts.

What they need to do is nerf not forgotten hit box. That thing is way to generous at range. Dust rock blues has spread it's not a slug so it should act as such and be close range ohk not near chaperone range.

Ill play against any team using nf/drb allday everyday.... When I see a team all using mountaintop/recluse...✌ recluse is the cheesiest weapon in destiny

22 RepliesNot gonna lie I may have... “damaged” my controller yesterday because of Iron Banana. Still works and everything lol. I played a few games of quickplay before reset yesterday and had a blast. Nobody was really using the meta and it was really fun but the first game of iron banner... i wanted to die.

5 RepliesNF has already been nerfed, its a pinnacle weapon it should be good. Its in a good spot. honestly a good rolled austringer, last word, and ace of spades are good HC that can compete. There are others as well. Trust me going to legend is a tedious task so i'd use NF all the freaking time if i worked that hard for it. DRB is nightmare and has never been touched so i wouldnt find shotgun range being nerfed again. give side arms and other short range guns a chance.

I agree NF is 100% brocken weapon still. It should be removed from the game. What allows dusk rock blues to be used in the 1st place is nf existence itself. If nf wasn't there people wouldn't likely use dusk rock blues.

2 Repliesyeah because you're seeing an Not Forgotten soooooo often. Erentil is everywhere. You can get one by turning in materials to banshee. Not Forgotten requires you being good at the game. See how that works? Put in work and you get to use weapons like that. I find it ridiculous that a person would actually say erentil is on the level of a DRB-NF-WC loudout. It's broken. It's broken. It's broken. For many reasons.

And the only HC you see are 180 rpm. Some of the others are good but suffer from bloom so you have to pace your shots. But when facing weapons like 180 HC you can’t always pace your shots.

The biggest problem in that loadout is DRB. At least with NF aiming and having to hit more than one shot is required. And Wardcliff, while good, is the most rng dependent weapon outside of Jotunn. Its the amount of heavy ammo given thats more of a problem. I used to like seeing people run NF if the teams were fair and they were running something other than a shotgun because in my opinion multishot weapons should be strong too. You shouldnt feel like you must absolutely use some kind of OHK if you want to complete. But now there are probably more people running around that dont deserve the weapon than those who actually earned it legitimately.

I do get annoyed when people team up with it with for the sole purpose of going into QP just to piss other people off.

I main scouts lol specifically Polaris lance. Ive got over 4k scout kills out of my 20.5k overall pvp kills. Shotguns only take about 1k along side my snipers. And fusions? Hardly not even 350 lol. And only just recently got my rocket mastery lol thats only 50 and i didnt even use wardcliff. Actually i was having some fun with hazard of the cast earlier today.

Nothing is going to stop that kind of people from abusing the best loadout. Whatever the next meta loadout is, they will use that religiously as well. The best way to solve the problem is to stop matching fireteams against randoms... Most of those people will almost never solo queue because they are just there to farm stats and normally aren't that good. Most people like this are just relatively above average, but have NF and good stats because they run stacked all the time. So at least making fireteams play other fireteams will keep them from matching teams of randoms, or encourage them to grow a pair and solo queue for once if playing stacked isn't as effective as it once was since they would be playing against other fireteams.

As much as I find a Jotunn hilarious and unskilled, end o day we use what suits us, what benefits us - not for others! Wi regards to NF and Luna, majority o people have earned these weapons and should be able to use them if they so wish! These are not unbeatable loadouts, these people will not always win their matches - they can, albeit difficult at times, be countered. I personally feel, it’s not the weapons that’s the issue but it’s the fact that I am being match up against people who are so much better and skilled than I am! Match me against similar skilled players, and the chances of me going up against NF players will be reduced and I will have more balanced matches - again, this is just what I personally feel, does not mean I am right, nor wrong.

They nerfed shotguns, shotgun perks, LH, and they are still the most used weapons.
