I'm soooo sick of Dust Rock Blues+Not Forgotten+Wardcliff Coil loadouts.
Can we please mix things up? People complain about Erentil all day but fail to see the true problems in this game. Every time I look at a sweaty player's loadout. DRB + WC + NF. EVERY...SINGLE....TIME. I'm not asking for nerfs, I'm begging the community to try something new. I wanna puke every time I see 20K kills on a NF or 10K kills on a DRB. The heavy weapon meta needs to change. Nothing but free team wipe wardcliff coil.
Edit: playing on console. I realize not a problem on pc
Edit 2: This is not about my ability to play the game. I already have ways to counter the meta loadouts. I get hate mail after every game. It's a good feeling knowing how to counter it. My point is the crucible is getting stale. We have a giant sandbox and yet people only want to play in one tiny corner of it. There are other viable options. The crucible should be overflowing with variety. Hopefully shadowkeep can incentivize players to try new loadouts.

People always find the meta because some people just cant play a game if they dont win all the time or nearly so. they dont know how to lose, because they hate losing so much they make it so they dont. this is why when people can reliable deal with the meta, they get hate mail and threats - because the meta users who cant stand losing hate losing and take it seriously. they usually also dont know how to have fun in a game. they mistake fun for something they call 'challenge' which usually goes along with the 20 second attention span that consumerism and business has trained into them (because that maxes out sales).

14 RepliesThe problem is console recoil and bloom makes many weapons just feel bad to use. I personally love the Thorn, but hardly ever use it outside of quickplay as I cannot rely on my shots landing where I aim. In addition, I have to control the insane visual and actual recoil to use the gun effectively. OR, I can use the NF with is much more reliable (still has some bloom, all handcannons do), has great range, and the recoil is easily manageable and it also assists you with having zen moment. Until Bungie does something about console weapons this is just the way it is going to be.

Humans are opportunistic by nature. We use what works best with least amount of effort. Which sucks because there are alot of great weapons out there that hardly see the sun.

When i play crucible, i should have 12 pentazillion HP, inifite ammo for 10k Voices, and if people complain they loose, well, they just have to adapt.

Please just adapt or just deal with it mentally. Yet your using Jötunn and One Eyed mask and Colony across your characters. The hypocrisy is strong with this one.

I used dust rock blues / Right SIde Of Wrong / and whatever heavy i can used Yeah it's sucks to lose against NF players because i can 1v1 a Nf player but the problem is that they are never alone and i get bodyshot from every corner of the map so it's a bit annoying

I have to admit, I play Crucible alot and have never even hear of Erentil. Outside of that, the loadout you are talking about is tiresome. I've taken the approach of joining in with it instead of fighting them. I do use Dust Rock, but for my special I use Graviton lance and a random rocket launcher with a max blast radius. I was never a shotgunner until I had no choice. Now...I actually love it. It's fun to get in there and get physical and up close.

Sorry...but I haven't noticed that combo being an absolute issue since pre-NF/Lunas nerf. It's still a powerful combo for sure. But it's no longer "out-of-hand" to be quite honest. At least not in general Quick Play. I seldom use that combo in Quick Play personally, unless I'm against a stacked team that's utilizing more Comp based loadouts. Honestly, I have more of a problem with Erentil, Jotunn, and solid Snipers these days than I do with the old NF/DRB/WC combo. No lie. I'd rather deal with NF/DRB than a solid rolled Erentil.

I love how people complain about the load out you mention in the post. Guess what? Retold Tale is just as terrible. Service revolver is just as terrible. Truth is just as terrible. People will always travel the path of least resistance. I know, it sucks. Lol.

3 RepliesYou can mix things up two ways- by not complaining or not playing. No other players care what you don’t like to see as long as it gets the job done for them. Your next complaint will just be the next load out. Perhaps kill them so well they switch to your weapons and move on to the next? ‘Ugh all these guardians are using supers, wth so lame! I can’t believe they’re using things in game as intended to do things and have fun!’ -probably you later

You can't have melee builds, you can't have ability builds, grenades are crap, etc. This game is set up for a narrow type of game play. Then you add the competitive layer to the mix and this is what you get. There really is very little strategy here, when you can just team shoot everything. Terrible design.

I use Autos and Scouts now to change it up. Only downside to them is you have to have the perfect god-roll just for them to be useful.

Yeah it’s pretty whack, but to win in comp you have to use the best weapons.

I think bungie need a pvp overhaul oremade teams should have their own comp play list and random qs should b completely random not based off ur glory lvl warlocks need to have our melee buffed or give us some way to not feel so squishy also jotun is such a newbie weapon it makes the ones that actually put the time into this game look like we wasted our time hunters need to nerfed all around the board in pvp its sad when it takes me 3 melees to kill a hunter but they can one shot me also bungie get rid of super abilities that u can shut off early it should if u use it u loose it u want a pure player balance then do all that then kick out anyone younger than 18 cuz im tired of having to play w them just because i choose to play solo without a premade its nearly impossible to build glory points also make this game more working class friendly dont force me on the one day a week i have time to play and instead of progression i am forced to waste my time grinding over and over the same stuff and i can barely even compete because of it idk im -blam!- ik but for those of us that love to game but have lives well we are the ones w the money
