Solstice Armor is Burning Out My Destiny Fuse
The unnecessary grinding involved with Solstice is making me slowly hate Destiny again, that when it's over, I don't think I will be in Shadowkeep. It's burning me out completely. I just wanted a cool armor set, a cool title, and a cool pin. I understand working to get something you desire, but Bungie wants us to do all three characters just to get the Sparrow.
I understand it's supposed to be done over the course of the month, but 135 steps for all 3 Majestic sets when 90% of the community has life things to do aside from this like: work and taking care of children. Destiny should not be a full time job. 9 hours to go from Set 1 to Set 2? Then from Set 2 to Set 3 is unknown for me right now??? That's ridiculous, even if the player base data mined the steps prior and saved up tons of bounties.

I will get 1 set 1 masterwork so I might get title in the future, and not buy any glow. When I get the 2.0 version I will transsmog it to one of the other sets that we have acces to from start. I do not like stupid grind but the 15k glow was what really what put me over the edge, not wasting to much time on this nonsense.

Just don’t do the event. It’s stupid and that armor will make no difference when Shadowkeep rolls around. Just do Raids, Nightfalls, Exotic quests, or whatever you normally do. -blam!- this armor.

i can manage one set with friends. No way I would bother with other characters.

Do you REALLY need the Sparrow? Just play however much you want, no need to feel like you HAVE to do all of it. If you are burning out, you have to be the solution.

We still have an entire month to do this. I played for.... 3 or 4 hours last night and got most of the green set done. I imagine I can get the blue over the course of a few nights. Then I'll still have a few weeks left. The grind isn't fun, exactly, but the requirements aren't as crazy as I initially thought. Now if this was Crimson Days and only a week I'd agree with you, but we have a long time left in this event. It has only been out for a little over 48 hours.

I only plan on doing all steps for one Guardian. Maybe at some point later in the summer, I'll do a second.

Doing it with friends helps the grind go faster too

5 RepliesYou do realise that the sparrow is just a reskin right? like, you slap a shader on it and it's going to look exactly the same as the other sparrow... minus the jade rabbit logo on the side.. why are you burning yourself out over a reskin?

guys - we got a month. Also, we just need to unlock the set - not masterwork it, so it will be ready to pick up the 2.0 version from Banshee come Shadowkeep. Take your time and spread it out.
