Pleeeeease don’t just nerf the loot!!! Limit the timer or limit the drops, don’t just eliminate it altogether, this “bug” is what makes Menagerie fun and more so worth the time put in, especially when you end up in a not so efficient group and it ends up taking 40+mins to finish, please rethink the decision, thank you for your time, energy, patience, and understanding regarding this matter.

Wow, let me preface this by saying you all are awesome!!! I didn’t expect ppl to actually reply and give me any feedback like this, I’m still kinda new to this Reddit stuff so man, I appreciate y’all and your opinions are noted and understandable. Maybe “nerf” was a poor choice of words (I was at work, didn’t have much time) and/or maybe my short paragraph wasn’t clear on the point I was trying to make. What I was trying to say is that I, personally of course, am limited in my play time due to obligations beyond my control which is obviously not Bungie fault. However, with that said, man bro this “bug” was great because it, well you already know...and for someone like me who works 12-15 hrs, 6 days a week plus other responsibilities, it’s just hard to do everything and definitely hard to take advantage of the first 2 weeks it’s been out, I’ll try to get what I want with the time I’m allotted most definitely. Because of my schedule I mainly solo play and I completely agree that 40+ is a bad thing lol, but it happens when you solo, and honestly it’s hard not too some days, tired from work all day I just want to chill in silence sometimes lbs, I know it’s not the most appealing way to play for most but hey, I’m human and being straight up. I mentioned Reckoning solely because it just took forever to complete all the sets on a character and get all the weapons you want, dying or not, could careless about that, I just mean it took forever for those drops one at a time....I wish they would consider a middle ground and just spawn 3 chests and you have the timer to slot runes and grab all three and that’ll be cool, imo And to address the elephant in the room....I wouldn’t say garbage, but I’m definitely OK 😂😂🤷♂️ Appreciate y’all tho frfr, stay 💯

first I want to know why you think menagerie is similar to reckoning!
-
It doesn’t take 40 minutes regardless of skill unless you shoot your feet the whole time. And Reckoning gave almost no loot 99% of the time. Menagerie will give the gun you want with the masterwork you want every time. They’re nothing alike.
-
Its not a nerf. Its a bug fix

3 RepliesEdited by WulfPak666: 6/28/2019 6:50:25 PMI just find it funny that a chest glitch that has been in the game since D1 beta is still causing trouble even now. I mean, you can't honestly tell me that NOBODY in playtesting tried this at least 1 time before Opulence dropped. Like, are you for real? It's literally just the Faction Rally lost sector glitch all over again.
-
Edited by Demon_XXVII: 7/1/2019 4:34:53 PMYou can't compare the Menagerie, where you can use the chalice to create a specific weapon/armour piece(Masterwork system seemed to cheat me on range for Austringer) to the Reckoning (where it's really pot luck what you receive) Played enough through flawless Reckoning T3 & still haven't got a single 'season of the Drifter' weapon (plenty of old Gambit tat though).....not sure the Auto Rifle exists!
-
8 RepliesYou can literally choose what rewards you want in an activity that is diverse and fun and impossible to fail. How is that equal to the Reckoning even with the one chest? The Menagerie takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. It won’t be that bad grinding for chests. Maybe Bungie could add a little extra to each chest at the end or maybe a minor chest halfway but even if they didn’t do anything it would still be worth it for the player’s ability to choose. Honestly my only gripe would be the loot pool is too static, they need to rotate in other armor sets and weapons, especially an Opulence AR or pulse.

I mean, it happening. And you've just got to accept it buddy.

21 RepliesThis generation of players just wants free sh!t without playing the game. They are content with believing a bug is better for the game than playing the content. It's just lazy entitled gamers nothing more.
-
A regular menagerie even with the worst of blueberries should never take more than 25 minutes at this point when most people if not all are at the very least 735

Edited by Necrogen: 6/30/2019 4:30:32 AMYour face = reskinned parents 2.0. took 9 months to grind to pop you out. Was their time valued?
-
1 ReplyOf course it was only meant to be one chest per run. It only takes about 10 minutes per run, which is on par woth the forges. Besides, they are not taking it out until July 9rh...if you take the next two weeks to farm stuff, you should have pretty much everything you want from it anyway.
-
1 ReplyIt’ll still be more fun than The Reckoning. However, for as long as the bug existed I’m sure that most people have gotten the majority of what they wanted from Menagerie, if not all of it, so with only one reward what would be the point unless it’s your absolute favorite Destiny activity ever?
-
1 ReplyEdited by Unbreakable Patches: 6/30/2019 3:07:32 AMThat’s a terrible comparison.
-
Menagerie will never be as bad as reckoning. You are still guaranteed a weapon OF YOUR CHOICE including the masterwork every single run.
-
Dude, bugs are never intended to stay in games.
-
2 RepliesAt least we can get Austringer whenever we want while Spare Rations is a myth.
-
14 RepliesYou got free hand outs due to a glitch for weeks...it’s over now...play it because it’s fun or go play something else.....
-
3 RepliesOh yeah it's SOOOOO fun running back and forth for 5 minutes. 🙄

Edited by draycole: 6/28/2019 10:38:27 PMI still see myself in the menagerie. . It's actually kinda fun.. Plus there's a guaranteed drop every single run
-
Dude I get what your saying but I would absolutely love for reckoning to just drop a weapon every run actually 2 to 3 runs I'd be cool with then the unrewarding BS that is now .. all the weapons bungie brought with that drifter were a waste of time cause you don't get them enough to actually get good rolls .. take spare rations for example 198 tier 3 clears countless more tier 2 way to many gambit matches and yes sir I'm a closer bounty and I've gotten maybe six .. how does someone get the roll they want with that kind garbage .. I don't want the chest patch fixed either but let's be real it's match made activity that you can't fail and you get the armor or weapon you want with the masterwork you want .. that's awesome either way you look at it .. this glitch has spoiled alot of the community.. and your argument about bad matchmaking teams and forty minutes runs then make a fireteam yourself .. if this glitch would have never happened nobody would be saying anything about only getting one guaranteed drop and it be what you want .. Give credit where credit is due this is a great content glitch or not .. bungie has made some dumb unrewarding mistakes way to many times in the past and they could have very well gave this the reckoniny treatment and all the new weapons would be wasted content just like the reckoning weapons are ..
-
It's not a nerf if it was broken to begin with.
-
Ah yes, a game mode that is much more fun to play, can be a different experience every time you play with different rotating bosses that allows you to consistently choose what loot you get at the end even down to the masterwork, a mode that if you're running a full chalice allows 2 rolls to be dropped at the end is CLEARLY the new Reckoning. Don't get me wrong, it's sad and grinding will certainly take more time, but Managerie is 1000x better than Reckoning will ever be
-
3 RepliesDo not compare this with Reckoning. Reckoning is BY FAR the most unrewarding activity in the game. You could fail T3 a bunch of times and then finally get it done and get a blue lol. Menagerie you cant fail and you can pick your gear AND your masterwork. Even with one chest this is the most rewarding activity in the game now (even better than the BA frames because its faster).
-
I think if they offered 2-3 chests at the end it’d be a “berf” as some call it. While it would reduce potential drops from 5+ to like 3+ it would still be nice because not all rolls are god rolls and not all rolls are even good rolls so some are destined for the trash heap anyway.
