To make some much-needed room for Shadowkeep, here’s what I’m doing to prepare, and you should too!
Dismantle:
ALL Eververse shaders
All Eververse gear that is not currently in use
Any Eververse ships that aren’t too cool-looking
Any Eververse sparrows that don’t have instant load
Next, since all legendary armor from Shadowkeep will come with ornament slots, dismantle any armor pieces for your extra characters that:
Aren’t at the highest possible power level
Don’t have enhanced perks
Finally, go into your vault and dismantle any exotic weapons that are BELOW the power level that you can grab from collections. Example: my Titan is 750, exotic weapons from my collections tab come at 730, so I’m going to dismantle ALL exotic weapons that are below 730.
This should help make some room for all the new gear!
Also, if you use Destiny Item Manager, make sure you use “source:Eververse” so that you can see what items drop from Eververse and make your life easy!

1 ReplyDismantle mines, yes.

I went to my vault and noticed it was already empty. Says a lot about how necessary it is.

Any Eververse ships that aren’t too cool-looking
No, just dismantle all Eververse ships. They give you a load of bright dust, and you’ll be able to regain them for shards and glimmer.

1 ReplyEdited by Pocket Fox: 6/22/2019 4:13:48 AMAren't ornament slots only for Eververse armor skins? I see people assuming that ALL current armor will become ornaments, but I dont think Bungie ever said that.

7 RepliesOn exotics I have that are catalyst complete i usually wait to hit max light, then pull a new one and use it to infuse the old one so I can keep my kills on the tracker. It only costs an extra 5000 glim to infuse and few plan mats but I prefer to keep my kill tallies. This is only on select few tho.

Dismantle everything, it will all be useless in year 3 😄

5 RepliesI'm at 130K Brightdust & most room in my vault is used for 50K weapon parts, enough baryon bough for a lifetime & stacks of shaders I keep as a glimmer backup.

Next, since all legendary armor from Shadowkeep will come with ornament slots, dismantle any armor pieces for your extra characters that: Aren’t at the highest possible power level Don’t have enhanced perks
This part is questionable at best, I haven't seen anything that proved you'll be able to use ALL year 1/year 2 armor as ornaments. So until you back it with a source or delete it, I downvoted your post to stop this misconception from spreading.

Honestly your vault should only be good for good rolls or MW items. Your collections are a better storage then your vault. I havent used my vault since Warmind, I got 3 characters
-
Dismantle LOW while your at it.

I already delete as I go, so my vault is pretty empty. I might start filling with things so that I have a store going into Shadowkeep eventually.
-
Honestly I still have a ton of room in my vault, I only keep weapons and armor if they A. Have a lore tab, B. Are nostalgic in one way or another, or C. Are exotics

3 Replieshow do you 'source eververse' on DIM please ?
