Stop playing Iron Banner NOW - You are wasting your time!
Wow, just wow! The new Quest steps introduced for earning armour are near impossible!
At first I thought it was a good idea, after an hour or so the 1st quest was done and I claimed my boots. Another hour or so and I claimed my gauntlets. Five hours later yes FIVE hours later I am less than 10% complete on step three.
By my calculations that means it should take me 50 hours to complete this part of the quest! Oh well, its a good job crucible quests (like pinnacle weapon quests) complete account wide so once you unlock them on one character they unlock on all of them. WAIT, WHAT? The Iron Banner quests are unique to each character!!! So I have to do this THREE chuffin times???
Out of curiosity, anyone know what steps four & five are? Not sure I can be bothered to find out myself!!
Guess I am never going to have the time to unlock this gear so really, what is the chuffin point of Iron Banner? ANSWER - THERE IS NO CHUFFIN POINT!!!

2 RepliesHow can you be only 10% after 5 hours, team mates kills count as well, unless you're sitting at the back of the map doing nothing.

near impossible. I'm on the final quest step and it's only taken me like a day a half.

I got like 11 to 15 percent on all three categories in one game. Although I understand that without handheld supernova grenade would be a lot harder.

I just got the grenade kills done now, not too bad once I changed up my loadout (Shinobu + Enhanced bomber), the rest of the steps look pretty standard.

With one hand and three hours of playtime on step 3 I’m roughly 50% done. I think that’s par for the course if we have multiple iron banners to complete it this season. This is a lotta fake news

Do bounties and have fun. The quest is crazy for instance grenade kills. I played around 10 games last night and had a blast . I won’t be bothering with that cruddy quest . It’s still a lot of fun rolling with 5 other members of my clan .

Way ahead of you! I quit playing iron banner part way though the first D2 ib. That is after maxing all 3 guardians on just about all iron banners in Destiny. Destiny PvP in general had issues but still managed to be fun. D2 PvP is just pure crap.

Near impossible.....? Weird. I haven't finished all my bounties on one character yet and I'm near the tail end of the step where you need to get ability/super kills. Sounds like you're exaggerating it just a little bit, lol Let the grind be a chance for you to get more drops of the potential SotR god roll.

2 Replies3 Banners this season. 3 characters. The steps can be completed by simply playing the game with the most onerous requirements being kills with the different weapon archetypes and winning matches (not retroactive, but bugged and can be completed in 2 minutes without playing at all - Google it). That having said, I agree that the quest should be account-wide. The bounties are still available so that doesn't neuter the experience. If, once Banner ends, the quest expires and can't be continued in the next one and one must start over entirely I'll gladly upvote this for however much "upvoting" even matters.

7 RepliesEdited by Rebecca The Lion: 6/20/2019 4:40:01 PMI say to those who wants the shaders and the sparrow my suggestion is that you play as a warlock because that handheld nova bomb is going to help you when you do the grenade portion. I feel burned out doing this quest considering all you get is a year 1 set (which I already had), it's a shame we didn't get a new armor set for this season. Edit: A suggestion for Bungie (doubt they'll see this) but once you complete one step you should get the next quest step and not have to go back and forth to Lord Saladin in order to get the next step.
