Don't preorder Shadows Keep
Buy it day one at the earliest. This is my suggestion. Bungo Stray Dogs are good at marketing and making us want shit. But that's all it usually has been: shit. Do not pre order. Wait till week 2 once people have a feel for what the dlc actually is. And by people, I mean streamers and the YouTubers.

25 RepliesWhen I need your help deciding how to spend my money, I'll ASK for it. ....and I suggest you don't wait around for me to ask...... Just sayin'. Yesterday was a pivotal moment for me. Because I finally saw Bungie ACKNOWLEDGE the identity of the game they actually created...and lay the groundwork for BUILDING upon that Idenity. For the first time in five years, Bungie openly called this game an MMO....and an RPG. Yesterday, I finally saw them lean into what I've been fighting here for 5 years to get them to lean into. It was reassuring, because I had felt that I had been fighting Bungie the whole time....when---if you read between the lines of what the devs were saying----I had actually been fighting Activision's plans for the game. So, on the eve of this game FINALLY going in the direction that I have wanted it to go these five year, I'm not looking to bail out. I had said before, that "cores" would be a dealbreaker for me. But that's before I knew that such revolutionary and foundational changes to this game were actually on the table....and going to be offered. If it means I need to play "recycled" content for the next year, while Bungie uses the game as a "Player Test Server" to transform this game into the kind of MMO/FPS hybrid it has always danced around the edges of being? I'll do it. Bungie drew a line in the sand yesterday. They basically said that====now that they are out from under Activision=====they are playing for the long game. That they're plans are for the next 2-5 years....and not next quarter's earnins and next shareholder's meeting. I'm down with that plan. YMMV. Spend your own money accordingly.

8 RepliesThanks andy122333, I was just about to spend my own money on Shadowkeep but thankfully I stumbled across your post. I presume as the global keeper of the purse, you have absolute control on what people can or cannot spend the money that they themselves go to work each day to earn. As such, I need to purchase some food for my children, is that OK with you? I also would like to spend a small amount on the following: - Toilet paper - I know this is a big ask but I have run out of socks as a substitute - Antibiotics for Genital Herpes - My mate asked me to pick these up for him, honest :-/ - 25,000 piece 3D jigsaw of a naked Lord Shax - No explanation needed!! - Baking for beginners course - will need a new hobby now that I am not allowed to buy Shadowkeep - New socks I would like to get one other item, (nothing major, just fuel for my car so I can go and visit my dying mother in hospital), but that would frankly be taking the piss so I left that off the list of WHAT I WANT TO SPEND MY OWN MONEY ON!!! How about that cause you're doing exactly what they are doing except negative to bit buy it and offering no reward or real reason not too. The new doc looks better then anything that has come thus far.

1 ReplyYeah I preordered it sitting at work as soon as it went live. Paid my $60. Just because there’s a lot of negativity about something doesn’t mean that it can’t be turned around and made fun again. Look at No Man’s Sky, they brought that back to my understanding. But anyways, the toxicity and hate spewing on these forums won’t tell me how to spend my money, I’m excited to see where Bungie and Destiny go in the future, whether it’s Shadowkeep or Destiny 3 if that ever becomes a real thing, I’ll be getting it.

2 RepliesNah I’ve bought every dlc/expansion and both D1/D2 multiple times (console hopped) and have never regretted my purchases. Destiny is the only multiplayer game that I play (until Halo Reach comes to MCC) and sure, I’ve been bored/disappointed at times but never regretted the amount of money I spent on this franchise. I’m preordering Shadowkeep thank you very much
