That's literally it simply a QoL change.
Edit: Thanks guys for the feedback I love the discussions below and agree that this removal shouldn't be free. I have no clue what would be used for payment though.

16 RepliesRespectably disagree, there has to be some thoughtful decision making in the game with penalties for making the wrong decison.
-
4 RepliesThen what sacrifice do you make in modding your weapons? Why even bother having mods? It's just another trait slot to be swapped around at will... People are just asking for too much these days and trying to call it 'QoL'...
-
2 RepliesMods will become as replaceable as shaders then, you can just swap mods with no penalty. Bungie untended for mods to be finishing touches to your weapons, not a configurable perk/stat. At least that’s what I think bungie wants.
-
But that would make modding your weapons less impactful and meaningful.

Edited by BraddyBo: 5/16/2019 4:48:56 AMMods should cost 5 components and ALL mods should be available everyday. Dismantling mods should give back 2-3 components. BA mods should also cost 5 components (and not increase like cores from spider). Problem solved.
-
I always say: Bungie wont do this, because this is a good idea, and will improve your gaming experience.
-
Such a good quality of life change but they won't do it
-
-
Amen!!!! If the guardian is smart enough to kill a God, build countless exotics, but we can't take a single modification off of a weapon??!
-
Yes, should've been this way since the start....but no cuz Bungle
-
I made this exact post last month. Gotta say glad I'm not the only one thinking this needs to be done
-
Make the value of removing the mod the same as applying it. And make the removal something you go to the gunsmith for.
-
At the low, low cost of 2 cores, amirite?
-
Yes. Agree. Bump.
-
1 Replyfor whatever reason, bungie seems to loathe QoL changes these days there are so many things they could do to streamline and relieve frustrating gameplay systems avoided because all they believe in is retention for more micros
-
1 ReplySo remove enhancement cores?
-
You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

6 RepliesNo. They are not the issues we need fixed.
-
Make them cost the same thing it requires to creat a mod component at Ada-1, 25 gunsmith mats and 3 legendary shards.
-
1 ReplyPayment method: ENHANCEMENT CORES!!!
-
Or at least give some mod components back it takes 10 to make one and you only get 1 for deleting, what kind of sense does that make at least give me like 5 or something.
-
Toggling mods on and off gear with no cost.
-
4 Repliesand for the love of TR3-VR, do NOT require enhancement cores as a cost to remove mods!

Bungie: “you can now remove mods from weapons and armor at the gunsmith for 5 mod components.” Me: *looks at my one mod component that’s been in my inventory for the past 3 weeks* “oh...”
