At this point Endgame has more meaning to me.
Game of Thrones has fallen off for me since after season 3/4 (Pinaccal of the series in terms of choreography, score, and writing). 5 was okay and 6 and 7 felt redeeming.
8 has been lacking to me. Episode 1 should have been conjoined with Episode 2. Episode 3 was a weak battle scene compared to even the Battle of the -blam!- and by far lackluster compared to Jon holding the Wall from the Wildlings in Season 3.
Arya, Jon, and Tyrion are my favorite characters in the books. Aryan doing what she did was no surprise but I thought it would have been a conjoined effort of the Starks taking down the Night King.
The lack of Ghost has been utterly disappointing as well. He is crucial to Jon's character in the book.
I pictured Jon and Arya intercepting the Night King. Ghost would come out of the shadows to take his hand and spear away from him, while Arya proceed to keep him on his heels leading him right into a direct sword fight with Jon.
I had expected Jon to almost die but Ghost tanking the shot, infuriating Jon into a bloody rage coupled with the help of Arya he would cut down the Night King with Longclaw.
Sorry for the long rant but I am a die hard GoT fan, read my mother's copies of the first three books side by side with her LoTR copies as a kid.
Endgame and Cobra Kai were what I was excited about. I don't hate game of thrones but I've never got into it. I haven't had cable all throughout the length of the show plus I had an ex that didn't like game of thrones or lord of the rings, anything that looked medieval.
Never seen GoT, and don't really care to.
It's like any other fictional docudrama series - Soap Operas with dragons in it in this case.
Walking Dead is just a Soap Opera with zombies in it, and so on....
