Raid Mods are Unfair and Unfun

Let me clarify. I like the raid mods. Raid armor needs special raid perks, and these mods are those perks. However, I believe that these perks should work exclusively in the raid in which they are received. Specifically Taken Armaments (killing taken with grenades can give heavy ammo. This makes Gambit and Gambit Prime less fun, and I love these game modes. Imagine if the Leviathan armor mods worked in activities other than Leviathan. The Crucible you be filled with people attempting to land melees to fill up Wardcliff Coils. I don’t think Last Wish and Scourge of the Past mods should be removed, only that they, like the Leviathan armor perks, work exclusively in their related raid. EDIT: Please remember this is my OPINION. I believe the presence of these mods in GAMBIT or GAMBIT PRIME make the game an unfun experience. OPINION. Let’s discuss this like mature adults, please.

  • The things it does in gambit prime changing the entire heavy ammo economy so that it is just a war of heavy use is unreal. Shows how out of whack balance is in the game. It is just one example of many. PVP in the game in general is just an absolute disaster currently.

There's not a single mod from Leviathan that actually has to be specific to that Raid other than an arbitrary restriction. Last Wish however just because the mods are obtained from the Raid doesn't make them Raid specific. How they are designed however they are just highly effective in that Raid. Having a Taken Spec mod isn't all that different than having a Rampage Spec mod or a Dragonfly Spec mod. They are more powerful than general purpose mods simply because of their specialization. Remember that when someone is using a mod like Taken Armaments they are sacrificing that mod slot to gain a buff in a specific situation only against a specific enemy faction as opposed to having a less powerful mod like a Ordnance Mod that works everywhere all the time.
