Nobody wants to sit in a game when they aren’t having fun.
Why should players who clearly know they are going to lose due to being out matched by skill be forced to stay?
Bungie needs to learn the difference between people leaving a match due to them not having fun because they are clearly outmatched and people probably AFKing or trolling.

3 RepliesNo. This coming from someone that bailed a match before. I deserved the "drifter discipline" quitting early.
only did cause my "teammates" were jerks.

Why should players who clearly know they are going to lose due to being out matched by skill be forced to stay?
Because there's other players who don't give up so easily that are hurt by your cowardice.

Or how about you man up, quitter penalties are there to prevent people from bailing and screwing over thier team, you absolutely should be punished for leaving 3 others in a 4vs3
-
I would rather have the opposite - harsher penalties for leaving. Ragequitting is a selfish act that ruins the fun for others. Yes, matchmaking is crazy stupid when it comes to making fair teams but the worst thing is definitely quitters.

1 ReplyI just finish out the match. If I'm getting wrecked by a good team, oh well. It's just a video game.

13 RepliesIf you aren't having fun, then don't play. Why should other people have their experience ruined by the fact that you cant' stand to lose?

3 RepliesIf you leave Gambit matches enough that you get penalized for it, you should just stop playing Gambit
-
2 RepliesNo. No one is stopping you from leaving, but by entering a team based mode with the knowledge you might lose, then leaving when you feel like you are losing, you are ruining the experience for others and deserve whatever you get. I get that some people just have shit happen sometimes and have to leave a game. That’s fine, and the 30 mins penalties or w/e probably won’t affect them anyways. But if you are a repeated leaver, I think the punishments should be more severe than they are now. Bottom line: don’t be a pos and leave because “wAaAH i’M lOsInG!”

7 RepliesSo you are the type that wants to benefit from rage quitting lol
-
5 RepliesHell no. I remember the days of D1 iron banner, trying to get that last win to max out my rank solo. Team gets a tad behind, and then some player leaves. Then the rest of us are screwed. Mass exodus of the others. The leaving penalty definatly helps this, and needs to stay.

4 RepliesSorry but don’t leave. How about don’t go into gambit at all. Don’t have fun? Well you took that risk by going into the gamemode. And then you want to quit the game forcing s loss on your teammates because you aren’t happy?
-
2 RepliesEdited by BraddyBo: 4/18/2019 2:52:02 AMLeaving in gambit isnt the same as leaving a qp match. The penalties should be the same as comp. But gambit (plus all of crucible) should have fireteam matching so its impossible for 4 stacks to play against any team other than another 4 stack. Edit: Afk’ers and trolls should get punished the same as “leaving” a match if 3+ people from that game report them for inactivity/sabotage.

1 ReplyWell that is purpose of glory isn’t it? It’s too easy to join and then quit so
-
11 RepliesI disagree with this. Bungie should protect players from those who leave games and ruin it for the 3 other people on the team. You get rep (below 12000) for losing, you can complete bounties and you never know, your team may turn it around. Players leaving, for any reason, wrecks the game for the others and I’d be an advocate of harsher punishments.

Out matched by skill in Gambit? IMO, skill has nothing to do with it.
-
3 RepliesIf my team fails me, i'll just start working on bounties or triumphs, or work on different techniques to improve my game play. No need to leave. You get awarded points for completing a match if you are below 12000 infamy. If i want to win and dont like to play with random team mates, i will find a premade team.

1 ReplyYou can't always win someone has to loose its just the way games work, too bad your upset by this.
-
Nah! I need a Gambit suspension on the regular or I get cranky.
-
3 RepliesSee your leaving affects other people’s fun as well. Part of the problem is that Bungie put some dumb triumphs in that makes people play against the objective.
-
23 RepliesI wanna quit cause I’m looooooooosing God what a baby. It’s a video game.
-
23 RepliesYou know that you could just finish the game instead of leaving right?
-
4 RepliesWell. This threads gone about as well as that builder who took a smoke break at Notre Dame. Too soon?
-
3 RepliesWhy should I have to play a game mode where quitters aren't penalised.
-
1 ReplyOr you could just, not leave.
