Suicide is now the best way to counter Spectral Blades
No joke, my buddy has a 5 year old son who is fascinated by Destiny. He was running crucible the other day, popped his Spectral Blades, and handed the controller to his son. Little dude got 3 kills just mashing away at the buttons. Skill-based pvp, lol? Currently, there exists no counter to Spectral Blades. None.
If you're ahead on points, best option is to just suicide yourself to preserve the win.

I also use it and love mashing left click while holding w. I might mix it up some times and press spacebar or right click.

In Y1 of D2(when I played pvp more than I care to now) I tried suiciding to escape supers since our guns were such a joke back then, and it would consistently credit my death to whomever the closest enemy was. I don't know if that still works that way, but I think it was intended to prevent exactly what you propose.

2 Repliesnot in survival. Wardcliff is a good counter but obviously it's situational. I main a titan and Burning maul and bottom tree hammers can shut them down. Bottom tree because the sunspots will do damage to them also. And Burning maul you just have to stand there so the just rush you. The thing that sucks is it basically means you can't use your supers to slay out.

Awesome. Problem solved. Quit nerfing hunters and buffing psycho murder tank titans with abilities and buffs far more op. Looking at you striker titan ( fast roaming unavoidable super)with antaium wards and a shot gun.

The fact that suicide doesn’t affect the score in clash is ridiculous. But so is the state of spectral blades. So I agree with your motive here.

Honestly, it’s not strong enough. I think a good, balanced buff would be that it should ban all players killed by it, and brick the console of anyone who even looks at someone using the subclass. Then maybe it will be able to compete in the meta.

I’ll suicide all day long to avoid spectral blades, and I won’t feel bad at all. Why not? It doesn’t punish me or my team. People who say that makes you lame are quite simply ignorant. It’s actually a strategy to win. Besides, it’s quickplay, who gives a crap.

The spectral blade hunters have way to much health cause when I used the regular hammer of sol it took two hammers but I still died from it I still got the kill though when he died from the burning debuff

Yup, i used my sentinel shield against one and he kept stunning me and he never was stunned causing me to die

Just FYI. Titan burning maul slams will destroy spectral blades like its nothing. It's a great shut down super for them.

I just bait Spectrals over a cliff. Often they just get one swipe and forget to double jump.

It's hard to say which would be better, good supers or counterplay.

Know what I found out today. A titan smash can go from one side of the map to the other.. YAY for roaming supers that kill you TWO TIMES!!!!! (bungie, don't nerf it, I like it, cause I run like a little bitch now to find myself running into. . . . . .. . SHOTGUN!!)
