Sorry to tell you but is true is all over Reddit.
Like I said if Bungie removes PVP from D3 I’m done I won’t buy it at all period.

It's only gotten worse since year 1 Destiny, who really cares to see PVP in D3. PVP will never be good on console because they have to balance it for both PC and consoles. I doubt they can make a better sandbox than D1 currently so let them move on.
-
Nah, they can have it, just make it separate so it doesn't effect pve (you know, the actual good part of the game)
-
Umm then bye?
-
You wouldn’t want to see a dark zone type of thug?
-
Come on bungie you comment of some guy's custom embles (there cool ont get me wrong) ... Lets see this comment tell us will there be pvp in d3 and if so when will trials be back. And if you dont put pvp in d3 put trials back in d1 ill go play that
-
So long
-
Where has this even come from? All they have to do for d3 is truly separate the sandboxes. Take COD mw2 (imo cod died for me after mw2) for example. B50 cal has effectively no recoil or scope sway in the campaign. B50 cal in vs has very aggressive vertical recoil and scope sway. I know Destiny has no scope sway but they could do a similar separate sandbox balance for any gun.

Honestly, I think it would be a shame to lose pvp or pve from the game. I love all of it. They could certainly do things to make changes that don't negatively effect both arenas. Lets face it, they will have a hard time filling game time if they don't have a repetative pvp activity unless it becomes a monthly subscription based console game. Seperate the two from each other, earn pvp and pve weapons in both arenas ut, only allow pvp in pvp and pve in pve.. simple concept. easy balancing etc.

Same. Came for the FPS, stayed for the FPS. Couldn't give 2 cents about grindy grind grind and new butt-flaps :p Would miss the game, best weapon/game mechanics in the industry. :(

4 RepliesHere is the solution to the pvp being removed debacle/rumor. Bungie you do pretty good with pve stuff just add a bit more variety to boss mechanics. For example every boss in this game has a stomp mechanic. Change it up a bit and be creative with the bosses attacks/move set. For example instead of just a stomp and you fly backwards, have the boss shoot its gun/power in the sky and it makes a wave of energy pushing you back or does major damage if your caught in it. That was just one example for pve for how you can create variety with the enemies. Now for my solution with pvp. Remember how we had vendors in d1? We need vendors back and for this specific reason. Vendors sell every peice of armor for legendary shards or whatever. All of the faction vendors items cannot be used in pvp. The only loadouts you can use in the crucible will be from the crucible vendor. The crucible vendor will sell every peice of armor- helmet, arms, chest, legs, class item. The crucible will also sell every weapon archetype in the game. Of course these will all be themed for the crucible so their style will all match "red and white" or whatever colors you decide for crucible. So there now you can have pve have its power fantasy with crazy loot and when you want to go in the crucible, you have to have on a complete set of crucible gear- weapons and armor. Do you see where I am going with this? That way you can have you pvp balance and let pve have its power fantasy uncapped. Crucible would then be closer to year 1 of d2 but hey at least it would be balanced and when you beat the other team, you know it's because you're better and not your meta loadout. And you can call that the competitive crucible. Then you can have crazy crucible or whatever you'd like to call it to where everyone can wear the loadouts they want like how the crucible is now. Let me know if this sounds stupid or good. Thanks

remove pvp? I wonder why the D2 community is made up of a bunch of scrubs with no thumbs because no one spoke of removing pvp in D1. A shitty, game must attract shitty, players
-
I'm a PVE player I don't want to see PVP get removed.
-
Good. Move on.

15 RepliesIf pvp is gone this game dies. PvP is the sole reason this game stayed relevant. Destiny pvp was the at the pinnacle (top 5)of twitch for almost 2 years

Edited by Ghostfire239: 4/2/2019 8:29:34 PMAs someone who like both PvE and PvP this is outright devastating. I enjoy PvE a lot but once the content starts to run dry or stale PvP is always there to keep me going until the next drop or until I feel like running PvE again. Bungie will have to make the PvE so stunningly amazing, that no one would even dare say "Just go play <insert PvE focused game>". It would have to have so much unique content that I would essentially be drowning in it. It would need have a story so top tier that it puts other games to shame. I don't think bungie is capable of even half of that. Blame PvP all you want for Destiny's issue because it certainly caused some trouble, but Bungie has also proven that they don't know how to really make any interesting and long term engaging PvE content. PvP is what help make Destiny so popular, for all it's faults it's still an amazing arena PvP experience. Even then, without PvP it won't feel like the full Destiny experience. I probably won't buy it unless even the harshest critics and audience gives it at least an 8/10.

3 RepliesNo pvp means their pve has to be actually Fun or challenging. D2 currently is niether of the things. All enemy A.Is act the same and have no real unique mechanics. The supposed challenging parts are actually just tedious grinds or RNG walls.
-
If Bungie cut ANYTHING thats a staple for the franchise out of D3, itll be a HUGE flop, so i doubt they would. I would hope theyre well aware this would piss off at least 1/3 of the people who play the game and considering their player numbers are swirling the drain currently as is, id say they need wins, not more divisiveness.
-
From what the leak says, take it with a grain of salt is that d3 will be an open world pvp guardians of dark vs. guardians of light or did you miss that bit, if that’s the case either way I’ll just play GTA it’s all the open world pvp id need so They would lose out on my purchase not that it would matter.
-
My heart is broken. I don’t know how I could carry on in D3 without you.
-
I'm not against the whole open world pvp thing. Reminds me of my old mmorpg. Where we had battle zones with rewards. Open areas to kill each other was fun too. Nothing like hunting someone down to murder them.

Edited by Jay: 4/2/2019 7:13:44 PMPeace. All jokes aside I don't see pvp leaving Destiny. I would guess it's going to be changed for D3. Just dropping pvp all together isn't the answer. With all the focus they have been putting on gambit I wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a PvEvP thing... I hope it doesn't but they have been focusing on gambit pretty heavily it seems.

lol. shut the -blam!- up

The only way PVP will truly work is either completely separating it with its own weapons and abilities or coming up with a Divison Style Dark Zone, game ls are tending to go one way or the other, totally pve ie anthem or borderlands 3 or totally PvP ie CoD or Battlefield. As balancing is so damn hard. The best example of PvP done right in my opinion is Halo 5. It isn’t one of the most popular esports for nothing and warzone is an amazing example of how pvepvp modes created
