Hello!
Did you check in your vault to see if they are there? Did you use any gear transfer application when moving around your items?

I've used DIM but never had an issue. I didn't lose any gear. I lost 90% of my consumables. I had stacks and stacks of syths. Almost all my resources. I had 700 gun smith's parts. All of its gone and it's not in any vault
