So me and some friends had an argument today. It was about whether or not a church service counts as a concert. Me and my friend T said no while my other friends, K and A, said yes and even started pulling in others that agreed with them. So, I figured the internet would have a better answer. Tell me why below.

Just as a different perspective, the definition of concert is ; "a musical performance given in public, typically by several performers or of several separate compositions." Technically speaking, it is a concert, but on the other hand, concerts are for entertainment, not prayer. So. Could go either way. Up to you really.

3 RepliesA live performance to worship a god isn't the same as a concert.

5 RepliesEdited by Cobravert: 3/13/2019 8:18:12 PMA concert could be as few as a few people. It doesn't matter the number of people (more make it more epic) nor the venue (indoor, outdoor, civic center, high school gym, parking lot, wherever).... If it is a performing band that you are willingly going to see, it's a concert. A church is just a large building. It does not negate the ability to host a concert there. Just going to church, for a regular service? no No one is going there on a regular service to hear a full concert. They may come to see someone notable sing a song, but it's just a song, not a concert.

1 ReplyThose... aren’t the same thing. Concerts are literally around only for entertainment purposes, while church service and worship is more than that.

1 ReplySo is a Travis Scott Concert worship, then? Hehe

1 ReplyI would say no but Kanye’s Sunday Services put me on the fence

1 ReplyChurch is not a concert. That's like saying movies are concerts.

4 RepliesI would say not. Church has music, yes, but a concert is its own thing. A church could hold a concert in its building I suppose, but again, the church isn't really a concert it's just hosting one
