Warning! This post is all about a secret exotic quest! If you don't wish to be SPOILED, stop reading now! I think my friend and I may have discovered a glitch with the Wish Ender exotic quest. After the Vorgeth fight, we spoke to the statue to get the quest. We beat the Shattered Throne and went to the Tangled Shore for the quest. We finished the Tangled Shore mission and went back to the Shattered Throne. Our next task was to charge the coins/items we received from the Tangled Shore quest. We charged the first one fine. For the next one, we got to the point where you have to take an arc charge through the thrall gauntlet. We made it through that. I dunked the charge into the statue and we proceeded to the next area. We went through the secret door to fight the secret Taken Captain boss. My friend and I didn't die during the fight, but the fight just...ended. The Taken Captain disappeared and the fight music stopped. Neither one of us received the notification that the next coin/item was charged. Nothing we did could make the boss respawn. We even tried reloading the checkpoint, but that made it so we couldn't proceed with the Wish Ender quest. When we started at the checkpoint, the statue I had already dunked the arc charge into was broken again. We had no way of getting the charge back, since the thrall gauntlet was too high to reach. We're basically stuck at this point. I think it's not a good design to have checkpoints not hold your arc charge progress. I also think having the secret boss just vanish is a big problem. Since neither one of us has time to try to redo things, we're just going to have to try again in nearly a month. I'm hoping that the coins/items stay in your inventory, but I'm thinking that they probably won't. I'd appreciate Bungie's direct feedback about this issue. I hope no one else has run into this problem.
