I'm about 15 hours into Anthem and am enjoying it.
I've stopped playing Destiny awhile ago, but only due to the content drought. If they have another expansion, or D3, then i'll be back. I've also always played multiple games at the same time.
Anyway, if people are expecting Destiny out of Anthem, they're gonna be in a state of shock. If they've never played a Bioware game before also, same deal. Those that played the demo, the full release is quite a bit different and more polished. People might go to Anthem, but they'll be back or onto another game as soon as content dries up.
On the plus side, they already have a big update planned in March that drops in 3 stages for new content.
So those moving on, enjoy. And hopefully Bungie gets it together one day because i'd hate to see any franchise I like fail (even though I don't care for the direction that D2 went).

15hours in a game that has a 10hour Trial and is not released yet. Yup, sounds legit lol
15hours in a game that has a 10hour Trial and is not released yet. Yup, sounds legit lol
Origin Premeir (PC) is unlimited access. Origin basic (PC) and EA Access (XB1) are 10 hours early access. Do your research before wasting peoples time.

PC origin players get an week head start.

Yeah i got about 2hrs into the 10hr trial and hit a bug that i spent about an hour and a half trying to get past to no avail. Anthems getting a pass from me for now, i might pick it up later but between d2 and division 2 i dont know if i will want to play a 3rd looter.

That March "update" sounds like delayed content, that should have been packaged with the game on release.

Another for the mute list. It's been a good day so far, thanks for your "contribution"... 👍🏻
That March "update" sounds like delayed content, that should have been packaged with the game on release.
It doesn't really matter if it is or not. It's free and most people won't be finished with all the content before then. I don't see where all this entitlement came from. It wasn't too long ago that the average AAA game was about 15-20 hours long.

lol have fun with 3 strikes for endgame
There's 2 more dropping in March along with the "Cataclysm." It takes a little time to level up for some of this stuff. It's literally ok for any other developer to wait a little on unlocking endgame content, but Bioware does it and it's the cardinal sin. My, my, the double standard world we live in. D2 dropped with 5 if I remember right and 2 of them were literally recycled story missions. We all still played them no problem while waiting for the new raid to unlock. Even if either game had 1, none or a dozen, i'm fine with that. The amount of content we get in games is pretty damn good compared to even 5-6 years ago. Throw in the fact that games have been the same price since '05-'06.

What game you describe it being closest to story wise ,game mechanics etc.?
What game you describe it being closest to story wise ,game mechanics etc.?
If i'm reading your question right, i'd say mechanics/ game playwise it's closest to the last 2 Mass Effect games. I've heard people say it feels Warframe like, but I never got into Warframe so I wouldn't know. It's also very RPG; that's what Bioware is known for. The gunplay feels basically like any other 3rd person shooter that's not cover based or a battle royale. In all honesty, the story so far hasn't really appealed to me, but it's pretty along the lines of and cookie cutter space/ distant new universe game. Hope this kinda helps.
Yes ,thanks.I'll have to check out in a few days.
If you have Redbox where you live, you can probably rent it 3 days for $7. I do this all the time if it's a game that i'll probably buy on console instead of PC. It's saved me a lot of money over the years.
