Remove Enhancement cores from infusion.

As above. Bungie have literally said in Twab, they listen to our feedback, let's make them prove it. Good to see people talking about their experiences with Enhancement cores. I just hope the feedback is looked at and acknowledged. Can't really ask for more than that. • Here is the thing... this issue is actually split. On one hand most on this forum do not like enhancement cores being in infusion. On the other hand reddit (which is the largest facet of this community) don't mind them and only want more ways to acquire them or the masterwork investments be toned down for how many cores you need. In fact on reddit right now its a non issue. So will Bungie change enhancement cores? Not likely. They listen to reddit more tahn this forum.

    • And now infusion costs even more. We used to be able to infuse two weapons just for glimmer if they were the same type and model, right? Well, not anymore. I believe Bungie silently changed that because since last week THIS is what's been happening. Having cores needed for infusion is just gating players from the fun. This is not a FarmTheCoresVille game.

    • There's been a lot of these post lately again! Yet they seem to disappear almost as quick as they go up... Make sure to check the #feedback section and leave input there as well on ALL similar threads! I will repost what i wrote in a similar thread: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I agree 100%, masterwork cores are/were meant for masterworking not infusion... They have received all the feedback they could ever need. After the first round of feedback they responded with an excuse stating that masterwork cores were always meant to be used for more than masterworking... 100% BS! So what did they do, they changed the name to enhancement cores ignoring the feedback, ignoring their paying customers, and insulting them with phony excuses to boot (but who'd expect honesty from Bungie at this point). Bottom line is that they have received more feedback than they could ever need and continue ignore it!! I personally wouldn't hold my breath on this change ever happening or historically Bungie caring what it's customers want, unless your one of a handful of streamers that is, "best and brightest" I think they call them... This is a company with a known and continued history of shady tactics and lying to it's paying customers (it wasn't just ATVI). While asking and hoping for change is a darn good thing (definitely don't stop doing it!) Bungie at the end of the day is a business with the almighty $$$ being the bottom line, so the only real thing that will inspire any real change is a loss of revenue. It falls upon us individually as the customers to decide what issues make it or break it for us, what we can accept and live with game wise and what we can not. At the end of the day if your needs are not being met there are plenty of other games to throw money at. :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It would be 100% correct to say that many folks did ask for more to do in the game.   In all honesty I think that in a effort to do this Bungie misinterpreted it's customers wants and missed the mark with the change to masterwork cores. It's implementation was a poor and lazy way to go about giving players more to do and a completely unnecessary change. People want meaningful progressive content not chores. However that is just my opinion. What is not opinion is the overwhelming desire expressed for the infusion aspect of cores to be removed since day one of its implementation. Personally as I stated IMHO it was a majorly unnecessary change. That being said I still had all three of my characters to 650 one and a half weeks into the expansion, and three more to 650 a week and a half after that, and now have eleven characters on five different accounts at 650. So although the cores are not a game breaker for me not all folks have a wide open winter work schedule like me, and I see where this could be a big issue for a lot of paying customers. I won't argue over the matter but I will stand by the fact that since day one of it's implementation the vast majority of feedback on requiring masterwork cores for infusion has been negative.

The next TWAB will determine whether I buy the annual pass or anthem (not joking). I'll pop in to play destiny, but not nearly as much as I do now (.....I'm basically a casual now.... destiny 2 made me a -blam!-ing casual ☹️) Edit: no idea why I said the TWAB would determine anything. They aren't going to deliver some epic news next week. And that's fine, not mad. Im just going to get anthem because it looks fun. It won't kill destiny.

          • Here's an example of why Enhancement cores are bad for infusion. I pulled Wing Contender Helmet with Scatter projectile targeting and Heavy Ammo Finder very early in the Forsaken dlc. I would infuse every chance I got cause the perks were wat I was looking for. Now since it costs me 2 cores to infuse unless I pulled the same helmet from Crucible it might have cost me 5000 glimmer to infuse. Milestones and Prime engrams only give a power boost and rng wont always give me the same helmet so I am stuck paying infusion cores to level it with me. Of course others say that its stupid to do this and I should just use what ever powerful drops I get on helmets until I hit 600 or 650 now. Why? Its the perks I wanted and I thought it looked good on my hunter. Should I use helmets that I dont like with perks I dont want until I max leveled to save on cores? Then what is the point of searching for the perks on weapons and armor that I want to not be able to use them. Taking Enhancement cores out of leveling doesnt change the nature of the grind. I am still looking for perks on my weapons and armor that I want on my characters. I am still grinding for god roll weapons and armor I want. Not too mention it doesnt affect the content loop. I am still playing the game, still looking for those perks. If leveling using cores not a pain point for you then thats great but for others it is. Its frustrates player engagement with the content. Once a player hits that frustration point they stop playing. If this is what those players that want cores for infusion want then at some point you will find no players to play with. The player base isnt that large and we have seen already that when player frustration hits a certain point in D2 they leave. Bungie needs to change Enhancement cores for masterworking weapons and armor only or at some point the playerbase will leave in frustration.

It’s about time someone from Bungie addressed this once and for all , they seem to be able to move all these posts , but can’t communicate to us about it , This company is a joke we should all stop wasting our time here if they can’t be bothered replying to us . But bet if they wanted us to buy something like a new DLC we would see loads of replies. Anthem is pre ordered they had more than enough chances

          • I have gone from a "want to play every day" player to a "can I be bothered?" player. I don't think I'm alone. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... "We're not listening" ~ Bungie The sooner people stop complaining and start dialing back their playtime accordingly, the better off they'll be. I'm much happier now to just jump on, shoot a few aliens in the face, do a few things I actually still enjoy, then turn it off. If this game isn't fulfilling your gaming needs, stop fulfilling Bungie's need for "hamsters on wheels".

            • I almost fell of the chair laughing when I read Bungie’s post, they have selective hearing, if it’s not something they want to do they ignore it. I agree cores need to go, there’s no reason for for Bungie to have added them to the infusion system!!!

inb4 the elitist, no-life d-bags come and tell you the game should be an endless, cancerous grind. This is the main reason I stopped playing. The stupid, boring grind. Bungie needs to make this game for everyone, not just the elitists, Youtubers, no-lifers, and neckbeards. 99% of the player base are normal players. Leveling and infusion should work like it did in Year 3 of D1.

                • Stop asking for this , they are not a problem. If you want cores grind for em, plain and simple. This is just as useless as raid matchmaking or in game trading, it should not happen. I really hope bungie stands their ground on this one. You do not decide how this game is played, if they want cores to be for infusion then they're for infusion plain and simple. It's bungie's fault really, they listen way too much to community feedback. Now ya'll won't stop bitch moaning and complaining until y'all get what you want,it's down right stupid. Saying they shouldn't be for used for infuse, says who? You? Not the actual game developer/owner? Stfu.
