What super activation sound scares you the most? The one that makes you say, ‘oh crap’.
-
D1: Hammers without a shadow of doubt. D2: Nova Warp, Spectral Blades at #2. Blade Barrage doesn’t have a fear factor, it’s either you live or die immediately. The trying-to-outrun-Nkva Warp is key.
-
You are clearly not a veteran. It’s obviously the Hammer of Sol from Destiny 1. Especially when you could do the infinite glitch. Outside of that, D2 has Nova Warp, but it’s just annoying. Similar to when you could zap people through walls with any Arc class in Destiny 1

2 RepliesI'm so proud to be a Warlock, and going from having the weakest supers in year 1 to BEING EVERYONES. WORST. GODDAMN. NIGHTMARE. I love casting Nova Warp and seeing players realize how pointless running is and just stand there and die 🤣
-
Hammers, I still have ptsd from D1.
-
D1, hammers, obviously, 1000 times hammers. D2, Nova warp. It's just dumb. And I run all 3 classes and use my lock most, and can still admit, it's just dumb how effective it is. But honestly. When I hear blade barrage when I'm my Titan, I get excited af. I'm always running my deflection legs, so any death I suffer is worth it for the chance to bounce that barrage right back. Maybe works 15-20% of the time, but soooooo satisfying.

8 RepliesWhen I hear blade barrage the first thing that comes to mind is “people are dying”! When I hear hammer of sol “Is it ours”? When I hear nova warp *sucks thumb* When I hear shadowshot “Nobody move”! When I hear arc strider “Run”! When I hear spectral blades “Did you hear that”? When I hear golden gun “Three shots left... two.... one.... we’re good”!
-
6 RepliesD1 has conditioned each player to automatically fear the sound of Hammer of Sol. The fact that Nova Warp is winning proves how many players forgot what true fear sounded like
-
“Ka-tunk!” In the distance* RUUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #D1memories
-
1 ReplyWhen you’re as bad at the game as me, they’re all scary.
-
In D1, it was always the clank of hammers. D2... spectral blades, I guess.
-
Sunbreaker or Titan missile, BUT only if they are good at turning corners.
-
*hears Nova Bomb* Oh I’m good that sounded like it came from A (me an intellectual at C.) *Runs to b* Oh hey teammate I just bumped into *looks up to see a glowing purple ball* Oh my god please no I have air pods I can’t hear *Dies in void*

3 RepliesI remember back in D1 days, you would mind your own business, and suddenly *CLINK*
-
Have you forgotten the sonic boom of the...
titan missle?
-
Blade barrage, hammers and nova warp because all of which I can't hide from, could try subducing them them with my guardians brilliant looks...
-
2 RepliesI think novawarp has the "scariest" sound. especially when you have the volume all the way up it's like this deep echoing sound on activation. However Blade Barrage is probably the one i'm scared of the most, especially when you get on a streak and you hear it and you're just there like dear god please don't let me be the one.
-
10 RepliesNovawarp I sleep Spectral blades - REAL SHIT?! Honestly. In stealth it survives most other supers. Can tank a novawarp blast
-
1 ReplyD1 hammers anyone?
-
Nova warp and spectral blades instill that "oh crap" feeling. You know they're out there and you feel like you have a chance to avoid or outrun them until they find you. The suspense is the key. A Blade Barrage sound goes off and you just ask "do I live or die" then go about your business. There's nothing you can do about it, so there's no fear or sense of dread, it's a yes or no question. There's a reason horror films have chase scenes. Just sayin.
-
If we are truly just counting sound, then hammers. You can hear them activate a mile away.
